Job description

Managers within Technology at Nordstrom help create an inspiring workplace where talented people are empowered to drive amazing customer experiences and business results. Through broad industry and practice knowledge and hands-on technical management experience, the Tech Manager guides a team of IT professionals to execute strategy and tactics that deliver desired results within a Fulfillment or Distribution center at Nordstrom.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Focuses on day-to-day operations within the Fulfillment or Distribution centers and ensures effective execution of a team strategy/goals
- Understanding the workflow of MHE and WM systems within Fulfillment and Distribution environments
- Manage across a Regional footprint of several Distribution & Fulfillment sites
- Works with Senior Manager to provide oversight to team
- Effectively creates, implements, and manages team toward goals
- Leads entry and experienced level of IT Technicians
- Manages day to day performance and behavior through effective 1:1's and coaching
- Ability to create and streamline processes that align across Tech Ops
- Ensure that systems, services, and infrastructure work reliably and securely to meet the Business need and demand
- This position may be required to perform other related duties as assigned

KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5+ years of relevant work experience
- BA/BS in Computer Science or closely related degree or equivalent practical experience
- Experience within a Supply Chain facility preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of Material Handling Equipment and Warehouse Management Systems
