Job description

Influence and execute distribution strategy to maximize efficiency and timing of outbound shipments for the own retail fleet. Oversee supply chain, inventory position, and store efficiencies through exception reporting, key performance indicators, and executive summaries. Serve as the supply chain voice to retail merchandising and allocation management teams regarding supply chain status and opportunities for improvements and efficiencies.
Qualifications (Minimum required education and experience):
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred
- 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous experience in retail supply chain analysis
- Experience in retail and distribution required
- Experience working with transportation vendors preferred


- Directly manage the on-time delivery percentage to stores while maximizing shipping spend
- Utilize data analysis and industry expertise to continuously seek out the most cost-optimizing transportation options
- Team with Store Operations and Distribution Centers to deliver and provide visibility to optimal carton flow by store
- Responsible for liaising with and influencing internal transportation department and transportation vendors. Ensure vendor accountability with regards to shipment tracking, timing, and tariff adherence.
- Responsible for leveraging Supply Chain Analyst to creating dashboards and reporting on KPI metrics for the supply chain process from initial allocations and replenishment of product to the warehouse and the individual retail stores.
- Key point of contact for determining supply chain strategy for all new stores, store remodels, and store relocations.
- Accountable for providing guidance to the business on areas of opportunity within the retail supply chain.
- Provide guidance and operational training to Corporate Management, Fleet Management and Stores to ensure smooth and efficient supply chain processes and troubleshooting
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Advanced knowledge of MS Access and Excel, Intermediate knowledge of MS Visio, Word, and Powerpoint, inventory software, Internet software, order processing systems and database software, POS systems, ODBC Databases (extraction reporting)
- Familiarity with SAP Retail environment preferred
- Intermediate experience with Visual Basic and/or SQL
