Job description

-Works closely with CHR to mange the transport plans to ensure internal and external stakeholder needs are achieved, and are cost effective based on required CRDD -Ensures accurate transit times are used in planning, and works with CHR on regional transportation planning forecasts to ensure internal stakeholder and carrier alignment -Leads the "real time challenge" of modes of transport, to ensure balance with business needs and freight cost -Acts as the go-between with CHR and ELC impacted stakeholders (MM, BSM, TPM,...) , and challenges CHR with additional opportunities or inefficiencies in planning results, for inbound, intercompany and outbound movements -Monitors the operational efficiencies (shipments per planner per day per contract) from CHR for their region, and escalates to COE as necessary -Aligns with internal regional stakeholders and the Transport COE for globally managed transport modes -Works with CHR on regional transportation planning forecasts to ensure internal stakeholder and carrier alignment -Intervenes in exceptions as a liaison between CHR and internal stakeholders -Based on CHR trigger, works with Planners to adjust delivery dates if required to fill a shortage (milk runs, zone skips etc.) -Reviews CHR's recommendation for air freight cost/ alternatives, and works with business to decide if air freight should be processed, or if dates can be changed to allow for alternative option -Monitors material supplier performance and adherence to transportation shipping processes. Works with key internal stakeholders to drive resolution of material supplier issues -Supports in the carrier selection process in the region, working with CHR -Partners with CHR to identify areas of improvement, working with continuous improvement resources -Supports the resolution of customer Freight Chargeback, researching claims and processing corrective actions -Manages freight audit process Q


-Bachelor degree required -4-7 years of experience within supply chain; transportation planning and logistics within region preferred -Experience working with transportation management system preferred -Experience in carrier negotiations preferred -Strong communications skills and ability to work in a fast paced, global consumer goods organization -Experience working in SAP preferred, or other ERP system -Proficiency in English required, with additional language skills applicable to the region Location - Melville, NYC or PA
