Job description

This role is an integral part of a new video team, responsible for overseeing the post-production process and the development of high-quality, on-trend videos that are visually compelling and on-brand for digital platforms, shows, events, and presentations. The postproduction manager role will be pivotal in the development of workflows and in maintaining clarity of information between the marketing team, producers, editors, director, art directors and external facilities. Manage the post-production process including planning, and scheduling for campaigns and all branded video content. Help develop and establish best practices in post-production workflows to optimize the team's efficiency, agility, and quality of work. Create, organize, and maintain projects and media spaces. Provide support as needed and requested by editors. Ensure camera data is securely backed up, transcoded, synced and delivered to editors and vendors. Oversee the handout of additional hard drives to our creative agency partners. Ensure all color and conform EDLs, and audio AAF/OMFs are properly prepped for finish. Take inventory of all hard drives upon arrival. Edit content as needed. Track and record progress per project, per editor. Work with IT to manage post-production pipeline. Ensure all physical media is in proper condition. Identify and flag any potential issues in the scope of a project. Organize and archive deliverables. Participate in team meetings including status and review meetings with cross-functional creative team. Collaborate with creative team including VP Creative, producers, art directors and writers. Oversee the delivery of final assets to all platforms. Attend color sessions to ensure it matches the edit and the colorists are following creative direction. Perform other duties as assigned.


A minimum of 6 years professional post-production and editorial experience in film, TV and advertising. Bachelor's degree in Film production, Television or related field is preferred. Strong technical background in post-production. Experience managing post-production schedules and workflows in digital environments. Expertise in non-linear editing software such as Premiere Pro & After Effects. Working knowledge of Audition, DaVinci Resolve and other common third-party software. Basic knowledge of Final Cut Pro and the adobe creative cloud apps (Photoshop and Illustrator) Advanced knowledge of post-production workflows and camera formats. Highly experienced with codecs, image types, resolutions, scaling and frame rates as they pertain to digital media best practices. Strong knowledge of compression techniques, transcoding, mastering and preparation of files for out-of-house color, sound and VFX. Fluent in core video social platforms and their API/video integrations.
