Job description

As part of the larger Brand Activation team this role drives the visual merchandising direction for NAM direct to consumer stores. Working in partnership with DTC visual excellence, retail marketing and merchandising teams to create consistent execution of retail projects with a desire to create premium in-store experiences. Drive sell-through by effectively implementing visual merchandising projects in DTC doors according to Global/Nam best practices in a consistent and premium way.
Key Responsibilities
- Create visual merchandising direction to drive a clear consumer journey, highlighting product features and increasing sell-through.
- Coordinate and implement assigned tasks to aid in the creation of visual merchandising manuals & guidelines to respond to Brand positioning and strategy.
- Coordinate and implement assigned tasks to aid in the development, innovation and management of all visual merchandising tools ensuring Global consistency.
- Support the Visual Merchandising Managers to create VM tools while ensuring continued alignment to Brand objectives and positioning:
- Coordinate the development process across various teams and concepts.
- Coordinate the development of guidelines and visual merchandising tools for the market to implement.
- Assist in development of specific visual merchandising guidelines and provide direction to all Visual Merchandisers in market to drive consistency in execution across the entire market.
- Assist in driving, measuring, and reporting on retail productivity with recommendations to management for continuous improvement
- Assist in gathering, consolidating, and delivering input on visual merchandising performance from the DTC Market to Global.
- Improve processes:
- Monitor the Retail industry (brick and mortar and digital) for best practices that can be adapted for adidas.
- Coordinate day-to-day operations of assigned tasks.
Work with input and direction from supervisor, with limited direction for standard assignments.
- Additional assignments or special projects as assigned or agreed.

- Knowledge and understanding of profit and loss statement and store KPIs to make commercial decisions based on sound financial judgment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to lead discussions in diverse groups of varying size.
- Ability to think conceptually, in strategic terms and diagnose and translate sales/category reporting to an in-store merchandising strategy.
- Knowledge of customer service principles and processes.
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and/or written instructions and request clarification if needed.

Qualifications:
- 4 year college or university degree in business, retail management, or related field
- Minimum 2-5 years' experience working in a sports/fashion customer & commercial focused retail environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and store personnel
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including evening, overnight and weekend shift
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
