WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a highly motivated story telling professional passionate about creative event planning and storytelling to support driving the Nike DC’s narrative story fully integrated across our Supply Chain priorities, as well as a strong passion for DC engagement and driving business team connection through positive storytelling.
This role is focused on driving the narrative responsible for planning, advising, engaging, and inspiring our DC team at all levels of the DC organization. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining professional relationships with all internal/external partners to achieve all objectives while running and leading event/project budgets.
In collaboration with essential team members including: Business Operations, Facilities, Finance, HR, Legal and Global Comms you will be responsible for the cycle of crafting content, tailored communications in business cycles, and reinforcing through various written and live communications channels, including executive events such as yearly/quarterly/monthly celebrations, inclement weather updates, special visitor storytelling moments etc.
This position leads in developing our end-to end employee storytelling strategy and delivers updates through electronic, video, and in real-life experiences.
The position is focused on driving the narrative responsible for advising, engaging and encouraging our DC team, 6,000+ athletes, as well as for supporting to drive narrative and media experience in support of successful employee storytelling.
The candidate needs to be a strong writer, interpersonal skills, creative and innovative, project/event experience, problem-solver, with a keen eye for detail.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

- Nike Events/Meetings, End of Year Celebrations, Employee Engagement Events end-to-end project management and execution including drafting the message connected to the event(s) in connection to the brand and purpose.
- Lead and drive communication campaigns and initiatives across DC’s in support of significant Nike/sport moments.
- Conceptualize, draft, and share the most critical business information with the target audience which may include any combination of executives and staff across different roles, tenures, and geographies.
- Channel management strategy and execution.
- Leverage community/employee engagement strategy mechanisms and provide feedback to strengthen future engagement.
- Responsible for understanding and conveying company and product information to internal and external partners through appropriate and effective channels.
- You will be accountable for projects/programs with manageable risks and resource requirements while supervising and controlling costs of leading programs/projects/events in partnership with manager.
- Serve as team's primary point of contact with internal attendees before and during the events with minimal mentorship while delivering/leading a customer focused high-quality events/programs and storytelling message.
- Develop project timelines and other key documents and circulate with all partners. Evaluate, measure, and report on strategic effectiveness of the overall event(s)/program. Plan, schedule and facilitate meetings involving partners at all leadership levels of the organization
- Support content creation against the strategic narrative for DC’s across all channels, keeping the athlete experience at the center of the process.
- Be a key collaborator on all DC employee engagement opportunities like All Employee Meeting, global All-hands, etc.
- Provide talking points for leadership, such as GM, AGM, Managers in the employee events, as needed.
- Leverage employee data / sentiment to help advise our communication strategy, efficiency and reach, and link to employee engagement and listening feedback; establish baseline metrics to measure success.
- Understand business and employee needs and help to develop the right templates, tools, and channel strategy to support engagement, awareness and collaboration.
- Build strong relationships with key partners, understand their communication requirements, and provide them with strategic advice and counsel.
- Work across the business to elevate the purpose and role of strategic employee communications and engagement across the organization, building strong partnerships and serve as a trusted advisor.
- Supply positively to a team culture of trust, engagement, and development where ideas are heard, and everyone is included.

Profile
WHAT YOU BRING
5+ years of validated experience in event management, planning and driving large scale events.
College degree or equivalent in Journalism, Communications required. 5+ years of Public Relations, Communications, brand marketing experience required.
International Media relations experience preferred.
Experience in a client facing role, excellent problem solving skills with the ability to work on multiple priorities in a fluid environment.
Ability to analyze and make decision under ambiguity, self-starter, goal oriented and excellent teammate.
Excellent verbal and written communicator, delivering clear and precise communications.
Ability to develop and ramp quickly to multiple internal tools; communications that engage across multiple platforms (i.e., mobile, intranet, video, long-form features, digital newsletters, script writing, etc.)
Understanding of the evolving digital communications landscape.
Superior written and oral business communications skills, and the ability to interact with business partners comfortably and professionally at all levels.
Validated ability to organize, prioritize, and appropriately handle highly confidential and sensitive information.
Calm under pressure and positive/fun demeanor.
Fluent written and spoken English.
