As the North America Order to Cash (O2C) Consumer Direct Acceleration (CDA) Accounting Manager, you will drive collaborative relationships with business partners to deliver informed accounting decisions, process excellence, optimized financial control and financial statement accuracy related to new business models within the North America Marketplace. Who you will be working with:
You'll be working with the North America Connected Marketplace teams and reporting directly to the North America Order to Cash Director. You will also work with Finance to ensure all impacts are forecasted and planned appropriately, and Global Controlling (Technical Accounting, Marketplace Controlling) to ensure all accounting conclusions are in line with global expectations.
What you will work on:
- Support accounting processes and effective internal controls around the tracking and accounting for CDA concepts, including the treatment of revenue recognition and other related accounting implications associated with NIKE's CDA strategy
- Evaluate potential new and changing arrangements with NIKE Marketplace Partners as a result of CDA concepts for proper revenue recognition
- Perform research and draft technical accounting memos on revenue recognition and/or other complex accounting issues; provide consultation advice to business partners based on accounting conclusions
- Partner with business development, Legal, Technology, NIKE Direct and NIKE Marketplace Partner sales teams to understand new business opportunities and develop plans for engagement
- Work closely with Finance Planning to understand financial statement impact of opportunities, forecast growth of concepts and provide informed business decisions to enable the execution of initiatives
- Drive communication and alignment with NIKE Technology teams to inform, test, and deploy system changes related to NIKE Direct transactions
- Support the Strategic Enterprise Capabilities (SEC) team to drive and deliver new functionality related to SAP S4-HANA

Profile

What you will bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ Public accounting experience & Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required
- Strong enthusiasm and passion for the NIKE brand
- Exposure to ERP accounting and finance systems such as SAP or Oracle is strongly preferred
- Ability to develop influential and collaborative relationships across teams and functions, preferably inclusive of navigating a large corporation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate status, issues, risks and opportunities with leaders
- Proven ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience, including meeting facilitation and presentations
- Ability to pass a 7-year background check
