Job description

The Principal, Program Manager (PM) will be responsible for planning, executing and delivering multiple strategic programs by directing the working team to meet milestones and deliverables in support of Supply Chain Network Strategy. The role works cross functionally with supply chain, technology, finance, and others to ensure alignment, collaboration, execution and results. The role requires the ability to influence leaders inside and outside of the Supply Chain organization while keeping a global perspective of impacts to the total enterprise. The Principal, PM should have the ability to manage multiple large projects simultaneously and demonstrate solid problem solving and decision-making skills. The role reports directly to the Senior Director, Supply Chain Strategy.
Essential Functions:
- Define desired outcomes, milestones, and timelines for large projects that support supply chain strategies.
- Partner with executive sponsor and working teams to ensure deadlines are met and projects are complete.
- Develops partnership with senior leadership (VPs, SVPs, and above) to understand project needs and to present recommendations for change as well as regular project updates.
- Lead working meetings with senior leadership, key stakeholders, subject matter experts, third parties, and working team to drive toward decision making, creative solutions and facilitate risk mitigation.
- Build, develop and grow business relationships critical to the project across the organization while leveraging these relationships to enhance and improve the Supply Chain network.
- Work with key partners to develop and maintain progress reports, technology requirements documentation and presentations.
- Direct technology and business partners to clearly define business/system requirements, address open items, and ensure progress toward milestones.

Profile

- Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university
- 5+ years direct experience in program management; Supply Chain knowledge encouraged
- Communication Skills: Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents such as reports and procedure manuals. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to review and lead execution decisions based on statistical reports/data.
- Reasoning Ability: Must be able to work independently. Provide strategic direction and leadership to a team of professionals.
- Physical Demands: This position involves regular walking, standing, hearing, and talking. May occasionally have to stoop, kneel, or crouch. Involves close vision, color, vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Other skills: Strong leadership profile and strong negotiation skills. Proven track record of working cross-functionally with focus on merchants, vendors, transportation, technology and finance. Strong change management skills. Ability to develop insightful, value-added and actionable analyses.
- Work Hours: Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store/company needs. Able to travel up to 25% of the time.
