Job Description
As a Product Manager 2, you will be a key member of the Nordstrom Product Management team, championing the customer experience evolution through data-driven insights using a variety of qualitative and quantitative inputs and delivering key features, functionality and programs for Nordstrom. Product Management is responsible for making sure we build the right products and features for our customers and business. To accomplish that, you will plan the product roadmap and prioritize the applicable technology backlog, lead product discovery, and measure and communicate results of the feature portfolio in production, all while ensuring stakeholder alignment.
Responsibilities:
As the Product Manager 2, Integrated Business Planning (IBP) you will be responsible for:

Delivering a planning solution and generating a forecast for various inventory flows across Nordstrom's warehouses that will directly drive short- and long-term labor hiring and staffing activities
Delivering this at the level of granularity needed to optimize warehouse operations
Delivering forecast accuracy and bias reduction as well as improvement of key performance indicators and be responsible for determining the best approach to achieve these results in partnership with technology and data-science
Managing the facilitation, analysis, development, research, and measurement activities supporting your product
Identifying supply & fulfillment constraints through close partnership with warehouse operations, industrial engineering, supply chain business, enterprise insights, finance and merchandizing teams and coordinating with key business stakeholders, product and technology teams to evaluate and recommend potential ways to bake them into the IBP product
Leading and designing planning modules, workflows, and measures that drive improvement in overall plan accuracy, bias, value-add, as well business process alignment
Enable leaders to manage their business in a highly data driven and predictive manner
Responsible for end-to-end aspects of your product's roadmap from intake and prioritization to delivery
Prioritize feature opportunities; develop and manage product backlog
Lead business requirements gathering, analyze and map underlying processes, application, and data flows to guide opportunity/risk identification and scoping
Evaluate competitor experiences
Work with engineering during feature development to ensure feature objectives are maintained
Plan for and drive UAT, production testing & sign-off with maturity to assess what aspects to focus on that drive key business unlocks within set timelines and where trade-offs can be justified.

Qualifications:

The role requires at-least 2 years of experience in supply chain operations and/or experience in any of the following areas: supply planning, capacity planning, fulfillment planning, inventory management/planning, stock-control, labor planning/management, production planning, production controllership or financial planning and analysis. If you have experience in sales planning, merchandizing planning and are passionate about Supply Chain career options and statistical planning methods you should consider this role as well
3+ years of experience in Product Management or alternatively up-to 2 years of experience in Product Management with 3+ years of experience in large-scale projects working in Program Management or IT product delivery or senior analyst roles should consider this role
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Technology (IT), Business, Operations, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or related field
Good foundational understanding of business forecasting strategies and techniques
Good foundational understanding of what connected planning means or what it's potential can unlock
Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects or programs and leading through influence
Experience leading weekly/monthly/quarterly business reviews as part of S&OP or any of its component processes such as demand, sales, merchandizing, marketing or allocation reviews
Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and other business intelligence and visualization tools e.g., Power BI, SQL, Power Pivot, Tableau
Ability to visualize data to highlight the most relevant insights and communicate crisply to drive changes
Experience using, implementing or designing any kind of industry established planning products or systems and methodologies from Anaplan, IBM, SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, O9, Cube, Workday, Planful etc. could be of advantage to the candidate
Basic ability to define, measure and analyze processes to identify improvement opportunities
Basic technical background and understanding of software development principles, including a/b testing
Ability to work build relationships cross-functionally with multiple teams from areas such as Analytics, Engineering and User Experience
Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

Washington: $111,000 - $172,500 Annually
