As an IT Project Manager, PMO, you will manage internal strategic and transformation programs and projects. The Project Manager will increase the effectiveness and impact of key projects by aligning business strategies and execution. The Project Manager will play the lead role in planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing projects. They will be accountable for the entire project scope, project team, and the success or failure of the project. To be successful, the Project Manager shall adopt the organization's consistent, rigorous project management methodology to accelerate the realization of benefits. Own and drive end-to-end execution and delivery of complex projects and strategic initiatives to deliver planned business value. Track progress, identify and resolve dependencies, mitigate risks, and communicate status to upper management and partners. Proactively remove obstacles to drive momentum and progress. Identify communication gaps, handle issues, and provide support to teams balancing opposing priorities. Get results proactively. Responsible for the oversight of project level financial management. Creates project financial expense plans, tracking and reporting variances throughout project. Assist the business and IT in project definition, refinement and initiation. Coordinate and collaborate with internal business partners to estimate efforts, define milestones, execute, and deliver with high standards Develops, defines and executes project plans, project scope, activities, schedules, budgets and deliverables. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide project leadership to project team consisting of IT and Business professionals. Provide timely and accurate reports that adhere to Ulta standards on project status to stakeholders. Partners with Business and functional Sr. Leaders to Identify needed resources for projects, defines and assigns major project roles. Lead project teams in implementing and applying standard processes for change management, risk management, issue management, quality assurance, and project communications. Conducts project closure activities to formalize and communicate the project acceptance, handover documentation and ongoing activities to accountable teams and complete a post-implementation review to identify areas of improvement. Key contributor in the Project Management Community of Practice (CoP) Qualified candidates will have an Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience Master's Degree a plus and Project Management Certification (PMI, Scrum, or SAFe). Additional requirements include: 5 + years of project management experience with a focus on retail industry. Experience with Planview PPM Pro Understanding of Lean and Continuous improvement Experience working within a Program Management Office (PMO) Strong communication, problem solving and decision-making skills Expert Program and Project Management skills Provide planning, tracking, benchmarking and reporting to effectively manage IT projects and strategic initiatives Demonstrated project management planning/ execution skills with a record of leading projects to obtain tangible business results. Influencing, leadership and collaboration skills Excellent executive presence and interpersonal skills across all levels of leadership Demonstrated excellence in building relationships with internal Business and IT leadership Experience managing resources in a matrixed organization Ability to influence without authority, work with teams with diversity/ lead vertically and horizontally Effective leader of cross functional teams Mindset of continuous improvement Facilitate and contribute to the continuous improvement of a standard PM methodology including but not limited to project execution, approval, and reporting based on industry standard practices. Profile
