The Regional Talent Development Manager supports ULTA Beauty's strategic plan as it relates to talent management/development, on-boarding, culture, engagement and succession planning, for the field store organization. This support includes working collaboratively with the Regional Vice President (RVP), Director Talent Development (DTD), and District Manager (DM) to lead the talent management cycle for the field by identifying training and development opportunities, assessing current training programs & resources, managing the internal talent selection process, identifying business improvement priorities and executing leadership and development training for the field organization. CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Serves as the strategic partner to the (RVP) in regard to driving talent development, engagement, and core HR initiatives for the field organization. Cultivates and cascades ULTA Beauty's culture, mission, vision and values across all levels of the organization. Drives and facilitates the succession planning process, in partnership with the RVP and regional partners, to identify high potential talent and builds a strategic plan to support the growth of the individual and business. Leads the process for all internal movement for field operations to ensure consistency and inclusivity in the process. Facilitates on-boarding, assimilation meetings and continuing development opportunities for the DM team. Participates in the development and leads the facilitation and/or presentation of training for field leadership in small group settings, seminar formats, virtual formats or at regional conferences or meetings. Partners with the Talent Development COE's on the execution of key programs. Partners with Associate Relations COE as needed to support regional talent management strategy. Drives participation in yearly culture survey and any pulse surveys for region Provides consistent and thorough feedback to the DTD to identify underperforming GM's learning and development. Partners with DM to assess GM's skill set, identify strengths and opportunities, and create an Individual Develop Plan for the GM. Assesses existing GM's comprehension of core curriculum including, but not limited to, field operational initiatives, guest service training and competency comprehension. Partners with the DTD to schedule training and onboarding for newly hired DMs. Collaborates with DTD to identify training opportunities for organization. . Builds and maintains a supportive and collaborative relationship with field leadership and Talent Management leadership Undergraduate degree (related field), 5+ years relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience 3+ years Retail Management experience in a multi-state and multi-site environment, operating at a minimum Manager level or HR manager is preferred. Proven track record in driving a successful team with positive talent development and sales results. Proven ability to lead by example and foster coaching and mentoring relationships Strong interpersonal and presentation skills to effectively partner with field teams. Strong training skills to quickly gain trust and buy in of audience. Ability to communicate in a clear, concise manner, and demonstrate excellent active listening skills. Ability to communicate and partner effectively with associates at all levels of the organization. Excellent organizational skills and expertise in adjusting priorities to manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment. Profile
