Job description

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Nike Direct North America team seeks a Retail Senior Construction Project Manager who will lead a broader team of internal and external contributors from design and concept development through project completion by translating innovative designs and retail concepts into reality!
We need an individual excited to facilitate and direct the physical execution of Nike retail concepts by handling schedule and budget milestones, encouraging communication among team members, coordinating project teams, further refining processes and tools, solving problems and resolving issues.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
We seek a candidate who will be responsible to:
- Design review - hold an active role in reviewing the design development for completeness, adherence to Nike standards, budget and schedule constraints and overall project goals
- Design process and preconstruction management - collaborate with internal Nike design team, internal partners and external consultants to established required deliverables, schedule parameters and track resolution of outstanding issues
- Contract management and documentation - lead teams in the contract scope development, review, award and contract management
- Constructability review - work with Nike Construction and Design teams to resolve overall constructability, best practices and design efficiencies
- Product procurement - work with internal Procurement team, national vendors and internal partners to develop RFP documents, procurement schedules and assist in leading communication with vendors and adherence to dates
- Construction project management - own overall project budgets, contracts, vendor and contractor/consultant deliverables and schedules
- Real estate selection - work with Director of Construction and Real Estate partners to assess feasibility of potential new real estate sites/locations and inform lease documents
- Program management - lead and influence cross functional partners in support of goals
- Reporting - work with Construction Coordinator and PMO Manager on regular schedule and budget reporting and project documentation. Run weekly update and coordination meetings
- Sustainability - support the LEED program and other sustainability initiatives
You'll also support strategy for the following:
- Pipeline review of GC/PM allocation
- High-level review of project schedule and pipeline tracking
- Procurement strategy development
- Sustainability initiative implementation
- Proactive meeting coordination to address issues/planning in advance
- Program and further tool development
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will be working collaboratively with a team made up of cross functional partners from Real Estate and Store Construction, Retail Design, Loss Prevention, IT/tech, ROSE (retail operations and service excellence) and Store Opening teams, and act as the subject matter authority on construction!
You will also work closely with general contractors, external consultant teams and project managers to ensure project planning is on schedule and on budget.

Profile

WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and education
- Professional accreditation(s) - ex. LEED AP
- 7-10 years of demonstrated ability in construction related project and program management
- Experience in commercial or retail construction, fluency with architectural drawings, key trade works, construction terminology and contract terms and types
- Experience with retail flagship stores
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Plangrid/Procore or similar, Smartsheets and/or other construction project management budget and scheduling platforms
- Supervisory experience specifically with leading teams directly
- Project management / program management experience preferred
- Contract management
- Proficiency across project management tools
- Ability to build a project plan, schedule and budget
- Ability to bring people together, identify task and deliverables and track progress
- A passion for Nike
