The Creative Director is the primary defender and owner of the brand look, feel and voice. A Senior Creative Director spearheads the visual aspects of the SBH brands, campaigns and advertising. They manage creative teams for Sally and BSG Environmental branding and Store design for SBH. This role leads the efforts from conceptualizing to executing projects, brand initiatives and campaigns. As a Senior Creative Director, their responsibilities include strategic campaigns, brand development, setting goals and budgets, establishing guidelines, coordinating departments and partnership, delegating tasks to creative directors, photoshoot planning and execution, post production management, researching creative opportunities, liaising with internal partners, and developing strategies to optimize procedures. Furthermore, they must serve as a mentor to directors and junior staff, promoting and enforcing the company's policies and regulations.

Included responsibilities; development and delivery of the SBH brand, campaigns and design, omni development, execution and voice through all campaigns and omni touch points for acquisition and customer retention. This includes, but is not limited to, 3000+brick and mortar retail store design, SallyBeauty.com, social content, store design and physical story telling, development of our loyalty program, social media, email, direct mail, national advertising and CRM programs, and in all other digital, print and broadcast marketing materials. This leader must have experience working with C suite leaders and presenting brand direction to the broader organziation. This role requires a deep understanding of industry, category, market and consumer trends.

Creative Direction is a crucial role that drives the overall Creative process- It is the area where ideation, planning, strategy and delivery of the creative and strategic vision takes place.

Responsibilities
  • Big idea development, pushes for excellence and can work cross functionally to affect change. Works at the strategic and operational levels, understanding how the "brand comes to life" and providing strategic guidance and coaching to accomplish the task. Can understand consumer data and adjust strategies to support. Contributes to and manages the development and execution of a wide variety of promotional and communications materials. Looks to continually raise the bar and "elevate the consumers experience" by staying informed of customer-centric trends and behaviors, streamlining processes, and planning improvements. Can successfully manage change while maintaining the brand position.

  • Drives and oversees, evaluates and improves work of all internal creative teams to ensure that projects are on strategy, high quality, effective and technically correct. Leads, mentors, advises and oversees the entire creative team. Fosters creative talent among the team. Works closely with our partners to develop omni consumer centric strategies, effectively communicates key priorities and deliverables.

  • Directs industry leading brand content, successfully collaborates with internal creative partners and external agencies. Assigns them work, provides them with creative direction, reviews work and integrates their concepts/work with internal concepts and work. Brings the team and partners along with the brand work for Sally and BSG.

  • Partners with executive management and partners to ensure creative collaboration, project objectives and brand requirements are met. Leads and executes marketing initiatives while also working cross-functionally with the appropriate teams internally.

  • Executes with a high degree of consistency, ensuring the omni-ideas talk to the consumer on a meaningful level, in sighting emotion and a behavior, sets clear team and brand goals, builds new concepts and contributes to business initiatives and special projects. Builds talent and celebrates the teams work and contributions.

Profile

Qualifications
- A strong design portfolio, Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Design, Writing, Advertising or related field/experience- At least 10+ years of experience as a designer or copywriter- At least 8+ years of experience leading campaigns and brand building a team effectively- Experience in both mass, traditional, digital, social and e-commerce channels - Develops campaigns and brand content within branding guidelines and stated objectives- Strategic thinking ability and creative talent to generate breakthrough ideas. Data Driven Decision making. Consumer first mind set.- Strong interpersonal and communication skills: highly collaborative and inspiring, with ability to build solid working partnerships across functional groups - Masters' latest versions of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, MAC OS,- Experience in Adobe XD and AutoCad preferred
