Job description

To lead, influence and embed new calendars and processes to ensure effective local implementation of the Global Brand strategy, while ensuring needs throughout the Market are met. Manage key business services such as samples, catalogues, showrooms, initiatives and events (launches).


- Lead and steer the end-to-end Market business processes for all Business Units and Horizontal Functions
- Establish and drive cross-functional business process models for Go-To-Market, Concept to Consumer, Brand Activation and Product Marketing.
- Build and maintain network with key stakeholders (external and internal) to create an effective working relationship.
- Lead Market concepts-to-consumer process calendars (key milestones, deliverables) to ensure optimum work and alignment with Global, between Marketing and Sales teams across the Market and with other key departments involved with the concepts-to-consumer process (e.g. Finance).
- Facilitate all Market operational inputs to the Global Brand organization.
- Ensure smooth alignment (process/systems/sell-in) of HQ and local creation center range.
- Analyze current business processes and resources to ensure evolution of competitiveness and reduced complexity while increasing flexibility for relevant business opportunities.
- Large scale program and change management under application of excellent expertise
- Manage and optimize MOPS' budget (MWB, CAPEX) across the Market in consultation with sub-units within the Market (e.g. MFCs, Sales Countries, etc.).
- Coordinate samples (budget definition, orders, allocation, delivery follow-up, follow up documents, etc.).
- Create Market catalogue in close collaboration with the BUs (budget, development and delivery).
- Lead the training, development and improvement of Marketing related systems
- Maintain Market Showroom (visuals, coordination of look and feel, etc.) in conjunction with MOPS teams in sub-units within the Market.
- Create Market Sell-In tools (inputs, brief, production, tracking, etc.).
- Plan and execute Market seasonal launches, including any bespoke launches required for key accounts.
- Provide a clear vision and direction with relevant objectives and KPIs.
- Remove roadblocks, solve issues and provide strategic direction
- Establish a high performance culture and drive employee engagement, leading by example.
- Identify and develop high-potential talents, to fuel the team's succession plan.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Highly specialized level of business acumen in Process Management, Change Management and Innovation Management
- Extensive depth of theoretical knowledge and organizational practice or expertise across several disciplines (e.g. Marketing, GOPS, etc)
- Strong interpersonal skills (e.g. relationship management, facilitation) and deep cross-functional process knowledge
- Leading and managing a diverse team (incl. remote management)
- Strong project management skills
- Marketing budget management
- Experience in an operational driven environment (timelines, milestones, calendar management)
- Experience in both market and above market organization preferred
- Proven working knowledge of Retail Space Management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong presentation, planning, and analytical skills
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.), with an emphasis in Marketing/Business preferred, and
- Minimum 8 years sports or other product marketing or related experience, 5 years at the managerial level in the Sporting Goods Industry.
- Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for degree.
