Senior Director, Sales and Product Education
Summary:
The Senior Director will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive commercial product and sales training. This role will be aimed at enhancing product knowledge, employee skills, driving performance excellence, and fostering a culture of innovation across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing sales training programs and sales education strategies to drive revenue growth and client sentiment.
Sales Enablement
Working Mode:Hybrid
Estimate Salary Range: $190,000 - $220,000
Base pay is one component of David Yurman's total compensation package, which may also include the following for eligible employees: access to healthcare benefits, 401(k) plan, bonus, employee discounts, Summer Fridays (corporate roles), generous paid time off, sick time, and more.

Senior Director, Sales and Product Education
Summary:
The Senior Director will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive commercial product and sales training. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing sales training programs and sales education strategies to drive revenue growth and client sentiment.
Sales Enablement
- Develop and implement a sales enablement strategy to equip retail and wholesale teams with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to effectively sell our products and support the long-term goals and objectives of the organization
- Collaborate with senior leadership, department heads, and key stakeholders to identify learning needs and priorities across corporate and commercial functions.
- Design and deliver innovative learning solutions, including training programs, workshops, e-learning modules, materials (ILT, VILT, eLearning, Video, Job Aids) and other developmental initiatives to support the sales process for both retail and wholesale
- Elevate key sales opportunities and after sales relationship building, harnessing outreach action plans, this includes new client acquisition and existing client loyalty
- Enable regular sales training sessions both in-person and virtually to ensure consistent messaging and best practices across the sales organization
- Attend events and support new store openings deemed appropriate in an effort to build relationships and close sales with new and existing clients. This would include 20-30% travel
- Evaluate the effectiveness of sales training programs through feedback, metrics and performance analysis and make adjustments as necessary
- Develop a comprehensive product education strategy to educate internal teams about our products
- Work closely with product and marketing teams to ensure alignment between product features and ideal messaging and create product training materials
- Deliver product training sessions to sales teams, customer support representatives to deepen their understanding of our products and solutions
- Monitor adoption and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and develop additional training resources as needed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including retail, marketing, product, and customer service to ensure alignment of messaging, goals and priorities
- Act as a liaison between retail, marketing, product and other departments to facilitate communication and information sharing
- Partner with leadership to provide insights and recommendations for product enhancements, based on market feedback
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in retail learning and development leadership roles, sales enablement, product education or related roles
- Proven track record of designing and implementing successful learning strategies that drive successful sales training programs and product education initiatives that drive business results.
- Strong understanding of sales methodologies, techniques and processes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence audiences at all levels of the organization
