We're looking for an outstanding Senior Footwear Design Director for the Men's SSI (Sport Style Innovation), who understands street culture and the needs of those communities within this space. Critical Strengths include but are not limited to footwear design experience, problem solving abilities, team leadership, relationship building and management skills, critical thinking, and creativity to help lead a team and the future of the industry.
Demonstrating this you'll lead and encourage the SSI design team to implement consumer right product concepts and designs while giving to larger strategic business leadership needs. You'll also maintain hands on involvement in product design and development of design strategies. You'll be capable of crafting any product in the Category or Division, with emphasis on innovative, consumer relevant product. You'll be responsible to run a variety of diverse product needs/difficulties with your team per season. You'll be a member of the Footwear Design and SSI Leadership teams to partner and lead a consumer right vision. This allows you the opportunity of building from a greater Nike Creative Direction to drive short and long term SSI design vision and strategies for the Footwear business category; develop strong relevant consumer-oriented points of view and lead the design team in implementing the vision in seasonal product launches.
If this is you, You'll lead or participate in Key Brand and Footwear Initiatives - design through execution. You'll champion a culturally connected vision with emphasis on product design integrity, forward thinking innovation, industry leading quality, performance and drive the commercial portfolio with other members of the category and divisional leadership teams.
You'll communicate and build on design vision, results, and stories to a variety of audiences and handle presentation projects at all stages. You'll bring innovation into the category through strategy and execution with the sophisticated concept groups and confer with others to increase efficiencies and ensure design excellence!
You'll lead the category design resources, processes and relations to ensure project standards and timelines are met. You'll also build and run your own seasonal/annual project load and you may work on cross-categorical projects. In addition, you'll work in conjunction with design leadership to develop design and leading the team, optimally handling the annual goal-setting and evaluation process.
You'll be evaluating consumer trends and insights effectively and providing feedback and direction on each style or model to your design team seasonally, the daily responsibilities of this role are wide ranging, exciting, and rewarding.
This role does have direct reports, and reports directly to the Mens Sport Lifestyle Senior Creative Director, while regularly partnering with functional product leadership teams and key downstream business partners to encourage a culture of creativity that aligns to the broader creative direction!


- Bachelor's Degree or higher in product creation, or design and development or Combination of relevant education, experience and training.
- Minimum of 10 years Product Creation (Design and Development) experience and knowledge.
- Creative future visioning, High taste-level and critical thinking.
- Innovation, consumer experience, and product creation knowledge.

- Project Management experience.
