The Business Analyst function is business facing role for the Global Quality Assurance organizations. As a functional subject matter expert, the Sr. Manager, Business Analyst, Quality has responsibility for the health of Quality Management applications, in terms of quality and operational effectiveness from a functional & technical standpoint.

The Sr. Manager, Business Analyst, Quality leads the sub-teams and works as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Senior Lead understands business needs and priorities, uses multiple sources of information including broader stakeholder views to develop solutions and recommendations through bringing end to end process approach. This requires ongoing, proactive interaction with cross-functional global QA leaders and users while providing consistent communication with various IT functions. There is a key focus on managing the relationship with the business at both a strategic and portfolio level to ensure the IT organization has early insight into changing business directions in order to inform and shape IT demand.

The Sr. Manager, Business Analyst, Quality acts as a product manager and works closely with software vendors and system integrators in the planning and design of application implementations, changes (including upgrades) and coordinating on delivery and deployment processes. As an evangelist, this position stays abreast of functional and development tools, trends and practices that should be considered for future initiatives.

For this role Quality & Regulatory Management industry background is required and consultancy experience in life-science (QMS or related) practices are highly preferred.

Key Activities

  • Analyzes business and user needs, establishes clear business value objectives, documents requirements, and revise existing system logic or business process difficulties to select, build or modify large, complex or mission critical information systems to achieve business value

  • Performs Senior Business Analyst responsibilities working on large and complex software development, infrastructure, SaaS and/or Cloud solutions

  • Applies analytical skills working with business and product owners to develop requirements and user stories stemming from product roadmaps

  • Adds value to the delivery team by working with the business and product owner to create clarity around business objectives through the development of and refinement of user stories

  • Applies analytical skills to evaluate and document accurate business requirements and present these requirements in a manner that is concise, measurable and flexible enough to meet project and stakeholder needs

  • Manages the quality and acceptance of vendor analysis and testing of SOW deliverables in a project setting

  • Develops and guides the documentation of requirements and test cases so that the requirements and test cases are unambiguous, aligned, consistent and not in contradiction with each other

  • Works collaboratively within a delivery team at all levels including stakeholder management, with considerate ability to take ownership of tasks and complete them with minimal direct supervision

  • Develops deep business and application domain knowledge for an assigned business portfolio to aid in critically evaluating the balance of both business needs and user requests

  • Anticipates stakeholder needs, and develop and discuss potential solutions, even before the stakeholder realizes they are required

  • Brings end to end process perspective to the solutions and move easily between big picture thinking and manages relevant detail

  • Analyses complex ideas or proposals and build a range of meaningful recommendations

  • Navigates the complexities of cross-border and/or diverse teams and engagements

  • Initiates and leads open conversations with teams, clients and stakeholders to build trust

Functional Skills
  • Understanding of requirements from the business or stakeholder's perspective and translating the requirements into the appropriate deliverables in an Agile/Scrum/ Waterfall delivery model

  • Understanding of the SDLC activities expected to deliver custom developed and packaged applications and Agile Requirements Methods

  • Understanding of all phases of applications systems analysis, the SDLC development methodology (Waterfall/ Agile) and GxP Validation policies

  • Ability to understand and lead business process management modelling (Workflow documentation, As-Is/ To-Be analysis, value stream mapping, etc.)

  • Manage a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all parties

  • Use data and insights to inform conclusions and support decision-making

  • Ability to simplify & standardize complex concepts / processes and translate them to technical solutions

  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, maintaining project schedule and quality deliverables

Technical Skills and Qualifications
  • Min 8 year(s) of experience in highly regulated industries on Quality & Regulatory Management function, Or min 5 years of consultancy experience in life science (QMS or related) practice highly preferred

  • Min 6 year(s) of progressive roles managing IT system/software development and project management processes

  • Bachelor's Degree in information technology, engineering, computer science, management information systems

  • Experience in SAP / QMS/ PLM Applications required

  • Licenses or Certifications: Agile, Scrum, SAFE certifications are desirable
