Job description

Position Summary
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for program and project management of process- and technology-related implementations across different Supply Chain and Online workstreams. They manage the creation of roadmaps, working with Business & IT stakeholders on the project schedules, deliverables, financial management, and resource management, and coordinating the delivery across all areas

They work with vendors on SOWs, and coordinate across infrastructure, security, architecture, release management and other teams, and are responsible for all team member engagement, and escalations. They follow internal IT procedures on program delivery frameworks and governance

This is a true business partner role requiring a point of view, and the ability to make proactive recommendations and drive them to fruition. This position will provide thought leadership, management, and oversight of applications for ELC.

Key Activities

  • Decision Making: Influence cross functional teams on organization strategy and alignment with programs and projects
  • Problem Solving: Resolving conflicts to ensure program and projects success
  • Independence of Action and Accountability: Overall accountable for program and project success, and alignment with corporate strategy
  • Budget Responsibility: Ensure programs and projects are estimated accurately and delivered on time and within budget
  • Leadership: This is a highly integrative role, working across the enterprise, listening, learning, influencing, shaping, and guiding. It is equally about articulating a direction for alignment, and supporting, guiding, and coaching the execution along that direction. This includes working with leaders within IT, but also executives across the enterprise
  • Drives an Agile delivery culture, advocating speed and agility, and acting as a change agent for Agile adoption

Qualifications

Functional Skills
  • Solid understanding of Supply Chain processes End to End. Beauty industry experience preferred

  • Excellent leadership skills and demonstrated experience with building and developing teams

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ensure alignment with business sponsors, stakeholders, and management

  • Delivery of projects on time, budget, and quality, in collaboration with project sponsors, champions, teams, and other stakeholders

  • Broad knowledge of project and program management methodologies. Experience managing budgets and benefit realization

  • PMP Certification (or other recognized project management curriculum) preferred

  • Resolve conflicts within the project and across dependent projects among resources, schedules, budgets, and priorities

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to simplify and standardize complex concepts and processes. Ability to clearly communicate ideas and confirm understanding

  • High sense of urgency to influence changes and drive outcomes from conception to delivery. Adaptability, ability to manage change, and influence cross-functional and distributed teams

  • Strong change management and negotiation skills with ability to work within a matrix-run organization

  • Continuous learning and curiosity. Keeps abreast of emerging supply chain practices, and is familiar with competitive practices and technologies

  • Lead and coordinate project meetings as needed to provide/gather project status and ensure delivery of the technical components of the program. Effectively applies the ELC / IT PMO methodology

  • Partner with Procurement and Vendor Management to create and execute NDAs/Contracts/Statements of Work/Change Orders, to monitor and renegotiate upon expiration of those documents

  • Experience managing 3rd party vendors, including engineering, construction, systems integration


  • Provides Project Financial Management, to:

    • Ensure project funding processes are completed

    • Manage project budget and changes

    • Track and report team hours and expenses on a weekly/monthly basis

    • Update project forecasts on a monthly basis

    • Track and report on project burn rate




  • Provide Leadership and Project Teams with advice and input on tasks throughout the project, including documentation, issue and risk management, and the creation of plans, schedules and reports


Technical Skills and Qualifications
  • Hands-on program and project management experience - creating and maintaining project plans, leading project meetings, assisting project teams in documenting business cases, creating project metrics and reports, risk and issue management and escalation process, developing/managing roadmaps

  • Experience collaborating with Vendor Management Offices (VMOs), Indirect Procurement Teams, and Program Management Offices (PMOs) to launch new initiatives

  • Knowledge of budgeting and work scheduling tools and techniques

  • SDLC Methodologies - Agile / Scrum / Rapid Development / Iterative Development / Waterfall

  • Project Collaboration tools like JIRA / Confluence

  • QA and UAT methodologies; Release / Deployment management

  • PMP / PgMP / PMI-ACP / Scrum Master or another accredited PMI or PM certification

  • Bachelor's degree; Master's in Business Administration or Project Management preferred

  • Experience working with, and learning, a variety of technologies including web and mobile


Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
Minimum Years of Experience: 7+
Licenses or Certifications: Graduate Degree In Business, Information Systems, or equivalent discipline a Plus.
