Foot Locker Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager, Business Data with a high level of technical skills. Specifically, the ability to mine data, interpret and solve issues related to database systems, and interpret key performance indicators at a proficient level. In this role, the ideal Senior Manager, Business Data will be a highly valued member of the CX Innovation team responsible for using data to reassess current strategies and provide data driven insights to support business decisions. Proficiency in Power BI, and robust understanding of dashboard life-cycle required. The Senior Manager, Business Datareports into the Geo Director of Business Analysis. This newly developed Senior Manager, Business Data offers the flexibility of a hybrid schedule commuting into the office two days per week.
- Analyze and solve complex problems for implementation of innovative solutions
- Identify problematic areas and conduct research to determine the best course of action to improve store performance and overall business processes
- Assist with integration and maintenance of operational reports and dashboards utilizing, Excel, Excel VBA, SQL Server and Power BI
- Collaborate with IS&T Data team on projects and process enhancements
- Demonstrate expertise in developing dashboards, graphs, reports, and presentations for all levels of management
- Perform basic statistical analyses for projects and reports
- Support the Business Data Analyst(s) by furthering their skills and knowledge of the business
- Stay current with business analysis tools and techniques


- 5-7 years of experience in data mining and analysis techniques, preferably retail retailed
- 2-3 years of supervision of business analysts is preferred
- Requires extensive attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Requires good interpersonal, problem-solving and organization skills
- Must possess strong communication skills, oral and written
- Ability to speak clearly, enabling him/her to converse effectively with executive management, operations associates, IS&T partners and the merchandising function. POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Proficient in Power BI Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Integration Services
- Excel VBA programming experience
- Technical expertise regarding data models and database design. Understanding of SQL and XML
- Adept at complex queries and report writing.
- Basic understanding of statistics
- Experience in data mining techniques and procedures
- Ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner
- Excellent reading comprehension and ability to write clearly and succinctly
- Must be able to read and analyze data and report information and effectively interpret and communicate analysis
- 4 year degree. Preferred in computer science, business or mathematics
- Master degree preferred
