Job description
The goal of the Category Strategy & Innovation Sufficiency role is to set the direction and implement key short and long term priorities and opportunities for consumer, trend, benefits and innovation pipeline by enabling a deep understanding and foresight, ensuring the right product, the right time, with the right trend the right spend and the right communication for gaining category market share.
Category Leadership
- Support the development of the company's 3 year category strategy through rigorous analysis, establishing hypothesis, defining ambitions and divide/conquer portfolio choices with senior leadership,cross-functional teams, Regions and Brands.
- Develop strategic, analytical, and financial frameworks to conduct analyses and develop category foresight actioned via a clear where to play / how to win set of choices that drive category share gains
- Enable enterprise to play its portfolio against big, fast growing and new trends
- Work closely with Regions to understand consumer insights and market dynamics to achieve local relevancy
- Track and govern the deployment and execution of key strategic initiatives by designing metrics and KPIs and drive actionable analytics against scorecard and company goals
- Demonstrate strong leadership and significant influence with the ability to gain credibility with senior leadership
Innovation Sufficiency
- Optimize & operationalize innovation, supply chain and marketing sufficiency frameworks and approach
- Assess short and long term gaps vs. strategic plans, pipelines and execution ensuring sufficiency of quality and quantity of Innovation, Marketing and Supply Chain actions
- Deploy Regional and Brand sufficiency scorecard, benchmarking and tracking by defining and developing KPIs, tools, processes and toolkits

BA from a top university preferred. Minimum 5 years experience at a top-tier consulting firm or similar in-house strategy role.
