Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Ecommerce

  • The Sr. Manager Ecommerce, North America, is a key driver of Salomon.com sales and performance in the US and Canada. This role is accountable for ecommerce business growth and profitability, as well as managing a team of merchandisers and analysts to ensure sales plans are achieved. This role owns forecasting and analysis, works with category managers and supply teams to secure seasonal buys, and closely monitors in-season sell-thru velocity and inventory management.
You will report directly to the VP, Digital Experience & Ecommerce

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily:

  • Plan for and deliver aggressive yet profitable growth for salomon.com.
  • Create seasonal buy strategies and forecasts for multiple product categories that align with business objectives and support brand marketing campaigns, promotional activations, and key product launches.
  • Manage a team of visual merchandisers and site operations specialists as well as sales development analysts to maximize business performance and deliver an exceptional on-site consumer experience
  • Oversee the management of product life cycle management, planning and activating seasonal site marketing calendars, and managing pricing rules, including catalog and cart promotions.
  • Own and optimize ecommerce P&L by overseeing revenue, margins, and expenses.
  • Analyze sales and inventory velocity to help drive business actions on a bi-weekly and monthly basis, collaborating with VP, Digital Experience & Ecommerce, Commercial VPs and Supply.
  • Identify opportunities for incremental growth with a focus on missed sales demand.
  • Partner with Category, Brand, Operations and Sales teams, both regionally and globally, to support our omni-channel consumer strategy, leveraging salomon.com as a central hub for our consumers.
  • Develop and refine regional ecommerce strategy, glide path, and overall business plan for both the short- and long-term.
  • Work collaboratively with the regional Growth team to optimize activation strategies & channels.
  • Define the business user needs of the Ecommerce team to help inform the development of the Digital Program roadmap.
  • Own weekly sales reporting and communication to business partners within North America and globally.
Qualifications

  • Required Work Experience: 

    • 5+ years' experience in Ecommerce
    • 2+ years' experience with merchandise planning and buying
    • Prior experience in the outdoor and/or running industry a plus
    • Experience in building and implementing strategic plans and having responsibility for revenue, margin and EBIT contribution
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
