BUSINESS IMPACT STATEMENT
Drive data-strategy and marketing analytics in partnership with marketers, finance, strategy, rest of marketing analytics, and technology teams to ensure Kohl's is able to deliver a best-in-class experience for its customers.ACCOUNTABILITIES LEAD A TEAM OF MARKETING DATA STRATEGY AND ANALYTICS PROFESSIONALS TO DELIVER ON DATA & CAPABILITIES ROADMAP AS WELL AS STRATEGIC ANALYTICS
Data Strategy: Guides a team of data strategy professionals from ideation to planning to project management on critical data capabilities needed to deliver on analytics and seamless customer experiences
- Partners with marketing and analytics stakeholders to understand needs and design the data roadmap
- Is externally plugged to understand the latest and greatest industry trends
- Strategizes on ways to enrich customer data for best in class customer experience and service through analytics
- For customer data, identifies the right metrics, and partners across team to set standard definitions and views to ensure governance, accessibility, usability, and quality
- Prioritizes asks and partners with Technology team on builds neededStrategy analytics: Designs and leads analyses that help power critical business decisions such as driver analysis, customer segmentation, partner analytics
- Has a grasp of customer analytics and understands drivers of customer engagement and retention
- Uses a hypothesis driven approach (in partnership with business stakeholders) to create analyses plan
- Delivers on analysis in accurate and timely manner and communicates actionable insights to senior audienceMANAGE CROSS FUNCTIONAL PARTNERSHIPS
- Partners with teams across marketing to understand key questions and formulate potential solutions, and execution plan
- Partners closely with the technology team to ensure jointly owned plans and on-time execution on data strategy projects
- Ensures robust communication through project status, issues and risks
- Partners with external companies as needed to solve for data capability/roadmap needsMANAGEMENT OF ASSOCIATES
- Creates and promotes an effective work environment by developing a common vision, setting clear objectives, expecting teamwork, recognizing outstanding performance and maintaining open communications
- Develops team through coaching, providing performance feedback, providing effective performance assessments and establishing performance and development plans

Profile

- 6+ years of relevant data analytics, strategy or related experience
- Quantitative undergraduate degree and/or masters preferred
- Working knowledge of predictive modeling algorithms including machine learning preferred
- Working knowledge of Python / SQL strongly preferred
- Experience leading direct reports and cross functional teams
- A demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships and achieve results by working collaboratively with others
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment while prioritizing and managing multiple tasks
- Strong project management skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
