Senior Manager, Marketing - l'Oreal Paris Global Marketing

Job description

STRATEGY:
- Contribute to defining the US growth strategy and activation plan for category in coordination with the DMI Category Global Marketing Director, Global US Marketing Director and the full US ecosystem.
- Ensure Category's Masterplan is aligned with the US.
INSIGHTS:
- Champion the voice of the consumer for US and share with Category:
- Understand US sub-cultures and consumers' wants and needs, market insights, portfolio needs
- Understand the retail and e-commerce landscape and share the new functionalities and opportunities offered to consumers
- Understand the industry standards (i.e. packaging format suitable for the US) & COG situation as well as the GM constraints to insure economical viability & timeline compliance
- Understand the regulatory situation & claims landscape to ensure preliminary claims discussions
- Champion the digital requirements (e.g. expectations towards content and assets) in the US
- Share valuable input/feedback to DMI teams on the new projects at the early development stage so that those projects are adaptable for the US. This is a key contribution to the product launch process.
- Trendspotting: Fuel the team with insights on US trends & competitors' innovations to influence creation of masterplan
MASTER PLAN STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT:
- Provide International project manager / IMC manager with US specific needs on Master Plan product & content creation
- Consumer insights, Product naming, language relevancy, pack design, industrial restrictions, financial constraints, claims & legal viability
- US requirements for international Magellan brief
- Input & advise on required research plan to qualify in the US
- Input & advise on creation of IMC assets: formats, diversity, key claims
- Lead development stream with US eco-system
- Creation of US artwork mask with legally-validated claims for US
- Adapt Launch Pack & Launch Kit to create a specific US version, if needed
- Collaborate with US Creative on BAT validation
- Hit required US COGs & GM targets based on US industrial capabilities
- Ensure Sharing Beauty With All aspects are integrated into US product creation
US SPECIFIC PROJECT MANAGEMENT:
- Manage the end-to-end product development (labs, industry, CMI) when necessary
- Manage shoots for US specific programs when necessary
INTERFACE & TEAM COOPERATION:
- Collate, validate, document and communicate appropriate material and assets from the DMI to US Mktg; define what is relevant for the country and reshape/refocus the guidelines when necessary
- Ensure local content creation is aligned with global vision of the brand and category's strategy
- Act as interface between the US Mktg & broader US-ecosystem and my DMI category and foster liaison between two parties

Profile

Education/Experience:
- BA degree required.
- 5+ years of Industry related marketing work experience (consumer package goods or beauty)
- Experience working collaboratively with R&D on a new product or renovation
- Experience successfully launching and managing a new product or renovation through its entire life cycle
- Prior experience in Operational Marketing
- Prior experience managing direct reports preferred

- Brand Administration: create project plan according to panier portfolio gaps; in-depth knowledge of brand equity and management
