Job description

Senior Manager of Inclusion & Diversity - Human Resources
The Senior Manager of Inclusion & Diversity will report to the Director of Inclusion & Diversity. You will be the Company Ambassador and Culture Warrior related to Inclusion & Diversity, providing direction and execution to support the Company's strategic plan and direction. You will assist in the development and implementation of Inclusion & Diversity strategies and programs as well as assist in measuring the success of programs and benchmark company practices to identify gaps and advantages.
Primary Responsibilities: You will work with cross functional Business Leaders to support them in championing an inclusive and diverse workforce where all employees can achieve and contribute to the company's success and consult stakeholders across the Business to ensure that the employee voice is heard and reflected in the strategies that maximize employee engagement. You will help to lead the organization beyond compliance by providing guidance on cultural competence and sustainable practices and support the overall inclusion & diversity plan by being the main contact for Business Resource Teams (ERGs) Steering Committees and Chairs, coordinate all I&D education and development programs, project manage the execution of programs and events and assist with data analytics and benchmarking surveys
Primary Responsibilities:
- Implement and drive the execution of inclusion and diversity strategies for over 50,000 employees.
- Manage and execute inclusion and diversity plans that build and maintain momentum for change across the organization
- Provide leadership, counsel and support to build and expand our Business Resource Teams (ERGs) aligning their activities to the business mission and vision of JCPenney
- Lead efforts to create and maintain career development, learning & development and recruiting plans that support the overall company strategy
- Collaborate with cross functional business partners to ensure the alignment and the infusion of the culture in all relevant HR products and services
- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to blend I&D strategies with our community outreach programs
- Build relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that our Inclusion and Diversity efforts are well-managed and thoroughly embedded in the culture of the organization
- Assist with the development of policies, strategies, tools and programs to leverage inclusion and diversity to drive business outcomes
- Analyze data such as engagement surveys, benchmarking surveys and prepare reports for senior management to inform and influence future decision-making.Core Competencies & Accomplishments:
- Bachelor's degree in business, HR or similar field
- Three or more years experience in a project management role
- Track record of progressive responsibility and tangible results leading diversity and inclusion initiatives preferred
- Demonstrates functional expertise and stays current with developments in the industry.
- Creates an environment that fosters teamwork and recognizes other's accomplishments
- Takes responsibility for excellent customer experiences and delivers solutions that meet customers' needs.
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency and acts devisively and quickly. What you get:
