Job description

The Senior Manager Sales Audit & Bankcard has overall responsibility for the management and direction of the service delivery within HBC in support of HBC s Sales Audit and Bankcard functions. The role requires extensive interaction across all 3 HBC banners (Bay, LT & Saks) for both Sales Audit & Bankcard Admin teams. This role must demonstrate a high degree of customer orientation to meet the needs of internal customers and business partners. The incumbent will be responsible for the overall quality of service delivery for Sales Audit team in India, including acting as an escalation point to resolve and correct any issues / concerns raised by the onshore Finance teams and will form an integral part of the HBC Finance team. The role will be a key participant in the end-to-end process management structures for Sales Audit and Bankcard and will work to continuously improve and optimize the processes across the onshore and offshore teams.

Profile

A proactive self-starter with a dynamic and resilient nature able to work and lead in a fast-paced. You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to engage with stakeholders across the business and provide critical input to business teams. Also, you have a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with strict adherence to deadlines.
Strong financial aptitude with minimum 10 years of work experience in Finance & Accounting with MNCs/GICs, with preference to Retail industry focused on Sales Audit and Bankcard functions
Minimum 5 years supervisory / people management experience
Experience in Oracle ERP (Oracle Fusion Preferred) and Sales Audit systems, Aptos (Epicor) preferred
Strong proficiency in Microsoft office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Six Sigma certification or equivalent process improvement methodology (Black belt preferred)
Demonstrated expertise in design and implementation of financial processes and technology
Demonstrated success in managing teams and directing multi-functional business units
Strong working experience in Sales Audit and Bankcard processes.
As the Senior Manager, Sales Audit & Bankcard, you will:
Provide management leadership to the Sales Audit and Bankcard teams to ensure all activities are performed in a timely manner and in full compliance with HBC policies and procedures
Day-to-day responsibility for oversight of the offshore Sales Audit team in the daily audit and reconciliation of Sales / Revenue transactions on a daily basis
Prime contact point for onshore Sales Audit & BankCard Admin Team and take action to address any service delivery issues
Ensure adherence to Sales Audit and Bankcard policies, internal control and audit requirements, and service standards at all times
With Manager & Team Leads, effectively plan, prioritize and execute everyday floor operations
Consistently monitor key performance parameters of the process and identify and implement new ways to improve the quality of work as well as the means of working on processes
Day-to-day responsibility for oversight of the offshore Sales Audit team & BankCard Admin activities including:
Exception handling (missing, reject, offline)
Process POS adjustments, Balance DC sales, cash settlement
Analyze Unmatched Debit and Credit Card Transactions
Sales Clearing, Cash Clearing and Accounts Reconciliations
Investigate POS difference reports and Over/short
Recon. Unmatched bank card and gift card transactions
Analysis and reporting of chargebacks and disputers
Interaction with Stores and Customers related to chargebacks
Prepare reconciliations and period end journal entries
Research for escalated issues coming from the stores, call centers, Loss Prevention and other North American teams.
Projects-Provide Sales Audit & BankCard Admin input and oversight into the design, testing and implementation of new or enhanced systems (POS, Sales Audit, Cash Entry, etc.)
Overall management of HBC India Sales Audit & BankCard Admin budget and explanation of variances
Support effort in building a high performing team and implement strategies to retain talent
Trains, coaches, mentors and directs the work of direct reports
