Job description

A strategic thought leader, working with cross-functional executives in the development, planning, and prioritization of their resources to support strategic initiatives
ACCOUNTABILITIES
STRATEGY FORMULATION
- Oversee strategy design for a portfolio of initiatives based on internal and external insights, industry, competitive context, macro trends, and knowledge of the business
- Develop strategic frameworks
- Provide thought leadership and strategic support to executive leaders
- Continually learn about and probe into the different aspects of the business to make informed projections and drive strategic directionSTRATEGIC PLANNING AND PRIORITIZATION
- Design, develop, facilitate, and lead enterprise strategic planning efforts
- Identify and drive strategic opportunities
- Organize and marshal resources to support a portfolio of strategic initiatives
- Articulate where initiatives are going, the actions needed to make progress, and determine what success looks within structured and ambiguous problems/situationsEXECUTIVE STAKEHOLDER ALIGNMENT AND COMMUNICATION
- Ensure that executive stakeholders are working toward common goals, establish alignment around intended outcomes/results, and assess and adjust the direction in response to changes
- Leverage internal partners throughout the business to ensure strategies are well-informed with context on the business, customer, and industry
- Present recommendations and craft business cases and stories to gain consensus from executives
- Partner with senior executives to influence and interpret high-level strategy direction into actionTEAM LEADERSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT
- Develop direct reports through coaching, performance feedback, effective performance assessments, and establishing performance and development plans
- Create an effective work environment by developing a common vision, setting clear objectives, expecting teamwork, recognizing outstanding performance, and maintaining open communications
- Build trusted advisor relationships with internal and external executive leaders

Profile

- Bachelor's Degree
- 8+ years related experience in strategy, finance or related role/responsibility
- Demonstrated strength in strategic thinking, planning, problem solving and critical thinking
- Management experience leading complex projects with cross-functional teams in a highly collaborative way
- Ability to bring structure and a path forward to ambiguous problems/situations
- Advanced communication skills and ability to influence others
- Experience managing and developing a teamPREFERRED
- MBA
- Experience in retail or corporate strategy
- Consulting experience
