Job description

In the dynamic & continuously evolving business environment here in NAM, this position is responsible for providing best in class accounting advisory to ongoing Corporate Finance operations as well various Business & Finance initiatives across NAM. In addition, this role will be responsible for certain local NAM cash management topics.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Accounting
- Provide Accounting advisory to Corporate Finance - NAM
- Provide Accounting advisory to various projects and business initiatives across NAM
- Create and propose in alignment with IFRS compliance, alternative solutions towards ongoing business initiatives within NAM
- Drive accounting application/ provide guidance on new initiatives and business opportunities to ensure compliance with IFRS
- Create Accounting papers/ documentation for selected complex material impact topics across NAM
- Engage with our external auditors and internal controls team on complex accounting topics
- Evaluate current accounting practices with NAM
- Drive harmonization across NAM Accounting functions in accordance with internal policies and external accounting standards
- Perform other NAM accounting advisory tasks as required
Key Relationships:
- NAM Finance, global Finance, GBS, local & global Tax, NAM business, External auditors & consultants, financial institutions, etc.
Cash management
- In coordination with Global Treasury, support North American cash management processes
- Provide independent analytical approach to review critical Treasury and cash related topics such as banking fees, credit card fees, foreign exchange, and various compliance requirements
- Manage and provide guidance for cash flow reporting in North America for all subsidiaries including supporting any forecasting process changes and ensuring best practice adoption
- Identify, analyze, and resolve business risks and opportunities within NAM Treasury related processes and enforce Treasury Policy
- Act as main point of contact to our NAM financial institutions
- Perform other cash management related tasks and assignments as required

Profile

- Excellent knowledge in Accounting (US GAAP & IFRS required)
- Strong analytical & communication skills.
- Strong SAP and MS Office skills preferred
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- CPA preferred
- Working experience in Treasury and/ or public Accounting
- 8-10 years' experience in Accounting with exposure to IAS and IFRS
