Job description

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management
Partner with MP&A leadership to prioritize and manage special projects that support the company PINK chips and key initiatives
Solid reporting relationship to Director of Central Planning/Raw Materials/Assortment Planning
Objectively categorize and prioritize requirements and requests across both Merchandise Planning and Demand, Deployment and Space /Assortment Planning teams.
Develop and manage project activities including project planning, scope/definition, risk analysis, resource management, progress and status reporting, meeting facilitation, communication, issue resolution and scheduling
Lead Key Initiatives
Liaison to MGT and technical teams; foster communication and strong relationship. Translate business needs/want into capabilities that are sustainable and integrated for long term
Act as the process integration lead that can visualize and speak to solutions from total brand integrated perspective
Key initiatives include: reporting simplification and optimization, new planning system exploration and process development, assortment and line planning process/tool development, business hierarchy evolution
Business Process and Capability Development
Partner with planning teams to develop and implement quick hit solutions that support pre-season and in-season planning processes. Manage the support and administration of key assortment tools and systems used in the business
Increase the knowledge base of the team by sharing relevant information gained during assignments
Act as organization change management lead to ensure business processes are consistent across categories and resolve roadblocks in executing business processes
Identify and react to trends that influence the business needs
Develop and manage onboarding processes for Merchandise Planning
Merchandise Planning
Complete business hierarchy change project
Improve busines reporting and decision support including reporting and dossier rollout
Transition reporting to offshore where applicable
Document end to end merchandise planning processes in support of new system exploration
Develop standardized processes and tools across ecom and stores
Develop a standard line planning tool and process for digital teams
Standardize buy review templates (buy review, line plan reviews etc) across business
Improve offer planning processes and repository
Partner with Central planning to improve legacy processes and tools
MIDDSA
Evaluate solutions within D&D teams that better leverage data through use of MS-Access vs. Excel
Rationalize reporting across channels and develop standard set of reports to run business - planning and D&D

Qualifications

Profile

7-10 years of retail planning, demand forecasting experience, inventory management, allocation, assortment planning, or replenishment experience, financial planning or financial analysis experience
Bachelor's degree in finance, operations, economics, business, or statistics
Merchant or merchandising experience a plus
Requires strong problem-solving and analytical skills; strong aptitude with numbers; retail math skills
Strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel or related planning, financial or analytical systems
Experienced in data management systems like JDA Enterprise Software Enterprise Planning suite
Positive business influence skills
Able to identify and influence critical stakeholders, proactively problem solve, and recommend solutions
Strong communication and presentation skills: concisely presents complex information and recommendations in terms that are meaningful to a variety of audiences
Demonstrated leadership capability and executive presence
Optimization mindset-designs and develops models and plans to optimize decisions
Builds collaborative partnerships cross-functionally; identifies/influences critical stakeholders
Ability to articulate detailed actions plans to successfully accomplish goal
Understands and executes against business strategy and goals
Makes decisions with limited information but also able to synthesize large quantities of data to drive business decisions
Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks/projects
The ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with various levels of management
