About the RoleAs a Senior Product Manager on the ECOM Platform Team, you will be responsible for driving the strategy of the foundation of our Ecom experience, both to external customers coming to our sites to shop and internal customer product teams utilizing our platform to develop and deploy stable, performant and scalable applications. The core of our work is empowering our fellow Product teams and empowering our customers. This is done through a dedication to optimizing core elements of our platform - platform tooling and deployment pipelines, foundational UI apps and services, search engine optimization, site speed, and a robust modular front-end.What You'll DoWe are in an exciting stage of evolution as the rules of the retail industry are changing rapidly. As a Senior Product Manager, you will help define the product roadmap by working with your product management counterparts and leaders to identify and drive forward new capabilities.
You will collaborate with dependent product teams to ensure that the end to end implementation journey is thorough and thoughtful. You will write robust requirements, prioritize the backlog across different features and apps, and work closely with the engineering teams to deliver and test quality software.

The role requires a strong product mindset; combination of business savvy, customer centricity and technical knowledge. We are looking for experienced product managers that have an inquisitive nature and want to solve complex business and customer problems without boundaries.
What You'll Do
- Build relationships with key business partners and other brand stakeholders. Articulates product needs clearly and succinctly to different audiences and cross functional partners. Builds trust, establishes rapport, with stakeholders, cross functional teams and user base.
- Anticipates user needs and desired outcomes and articulates impact across products. Influences product strategy to be user-centric via recommendations.
- Manages multi-phase roadmaps across many capabilities both functional and technical. Establish a strategy to improve product performance through new architectural approaches and monitoring tools.
- Ensure strong measurement and quantitative understanding of services - opportunities, benefits achieved, customer pain points.
- Helps mentor and provide guidance to other passionate product managers in the team
- Responsible for multiple product development lifecycles and prioritizes across broad initiatives with complex scope.
- Works with business and other Product teams to develop or modify processes, supporting post-launch change management efforts, as needed
- Conducts analysis to measure the results of feature deployments to quantify the business benefit/impact, and identify further business opportunities
- Identifies new opportunities and develop technology solutions that drive value for Gap Inc., including analyzing competitors and market trends and evaluating new technologies and finding vendor that support future visionWho You Are
- 6+ years of experience in a technology environment with experience in designing, developing, and implementing platforms, APIs, and/or complex customer capabilities.
- Experience on projects with complex scope and with multi system integrations. Experience working with large software engineering teams both within and outside of your domain.
- Highly analytical and expert problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented and strong multi-tasking ability.
- Strong oral, written, and formal presentation skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas in simple ways to all levels of the organization; Ability to influence stakeholders and decision makers to achieve a desired outcome
- Data-driven mindset and track record of developing and measuring KPI's. Demonstrated technical acumen; ability to influence and debate solutions with technical team members, to understand technology solutions and potential tradeoffs and to represent technical concepts to non- technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership of direct and/or indirect teams.
- Ability to work independently; able to successfully operate in areas of uncertainty and ambiguity; self- starter and quick learner; calm and efficient under pressure
- Be versatile and be able to prioritize/handle multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment with tough deadlines.
- BA/BS with emphasis on quantitative skills such as in economics, business, mathematics, engineering.
- MBA or Masters in related field is a bonus.
