Job Description
As a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) you will work with our Product and Engineering teams to create and maintain systems that help drive and innovate our Supply Chain operations specifically, Inbound Transportation.
This position plays a key role in building platforms to improve tracking of inventory shipments into, and throughout, Nordstrom's supply chain network. This includes shipments from overseas and domestic vendors, consolidators, and carriers, as well as transfers among Nordstrom facilities and stores. Optimizing transportation visibility directly supports Nordstrom's retail and e-commerce growth.

A day in the life...

  • Manage programs of high impact, risk, complexity while building and executing integrated plans across multiple teams
  • Collaborates with Product, the business and other technology teams across the organization to identify and prioritize solutions and build a roadmap that can be delivered
  • Manage risks, assumptions, dependencies (classic program/project stuff)
  • Works with engineering manager and engineering teams to ensure speed and quality of delivery, manage resource planning and a large team budget, accurately forecasting 6 months ahead and explaining variances
  • Converts business and functional requirements into use cases/stories are well written and actionable so that the Engineers on the team have the info they need to be productive
  • Identifies and produces valuable analytics for improved performance and business decisions
  • Leading with a curious mindset and always driving for "one good way" in how programs/projects are defined and implemented
You've got this...

  • 5+ years of Technical Program Management experience in retail/eCommerce, Supply Chain Transportation (inbound transportation, warehousing, facilities, EDI, Supplier Compliance...)
  • Experience managing stakeholder and cross functional relationships
  • Experience managing vendor relationships
  • Prior experience with RFPs, SOWs, SLAs required
  • Experience with large scale enterprise software/services
  • Experience drafting complex technical requirements
  • Experience in large scale technology deprecations/upgrades
  • Professional experience delivering solutions built on AWS
  • Agile, lean, and Kanban delivery process experience
  • Strong presentation and communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior leadership teams
  • A 4-year degree in related field preferred or equivalent experience, Masters preferred (not required)
  • Exposure to any of the following: Manhattan, SAP, Oracle, Project44, FreightPay or other Supply Chain software systems

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

Salary Range for Colorado and Nevada ONLY - $114K - $176K + bonus and Generous Benefit Package
