Job description

IT Procurement manages all Global technology sourcing activities for Abercrombie & Fitch. We are looking for a naturally curious self-starter with strong critical thinking skills who successfully demonstrates flexibility and agility in a fast-paced and dynamic, digitally led environment. A person in this role must also be a relationship builder and be able to team up with others, as there are high levels of coordination required between business partners, stakeholders, and key strategic suppliers. The IT Procurement Specialist based out of our Home Office manages the technology indirect spend. This person plays a key role in the success of our Information Technology and Data Analytics supplier selection, contracting, and lifecycle relationship management. They will manage hardware, software, services, and staffing categories across many different application areas and technologies. They will be responsible for building strong cross functional partner relationships supporting each area to achieve their strategic goals. The Procurement Specialist job function lies within the IT Procurement team, which is based at the A&F Home Office in New Albany, OH.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Building and Nurturing Cross functional Partnerships
- Develop deep cross functional partnerships with business areas understanding their needs and requirements
- Establish an intimate understanding of the category, supplier base, and market forces
- Ensure collaboration with Finance, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit, Asset Protection along with the business partners impacted by technology decisions
- Supplier Selection
- Facilitate supplier and technology selection process through RFI, RFP, and other techniques
- Drive Supplier Inclusion and Diversity, Sustainability, and Social Responsibility throughout the Environmental Social Governance (ESG) process
- Ensure suppliers meet all internal and external compliance requirements
- Supplier Relationship Program Management
- Identify strategic and critical vendors
- Facilitate the supplier performance review process including scorecards, SLAs, and KPIs
- Lead QBRs and Roadmap reviews with strategic vendors
- Assist business partners with ensuring vendor performance
- Market Intelligence, Analytics, and Reporting
- Spend under management
- Cost avoidance and savings
- Pay terms and rebates
- Market benchmarking
- Identification and implementation of improvement opportunities
- Contract Management
- Work cross functionally to enable adoption of contract best practices
- Facilitate legal and functional contract reviews and approvals
- Execute favorable contracts for A&F, by triggering various procurement negotiation levers
- Ensure contracts are understood by both the business owners and suppliers and put into practice post execution
- Manage contract renewals, amendments, and terminations
- Category, Vendor, and Contract Administration
- Maintain category roadmap for technology and data initiatives
- Facilitate supplier risk management reviews
- Ensure vendor profiles are properly setup and maintained
- Ensure vendor POs are issued and invoices are paid
- File and index contracts and other related documentation
- Manage diversity dataWhat Do You Need to Bring?
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum 5 years' experience in procurement or similar position
- IT and Project Management experience a plus
- Superior customer service delivery, communicating in a highly effective, yet approachable manner; able to communicate with all levels of the business across the organization and the globe
- Ability to execute tasks and meet critical deadlines in a thorough, poised, accurate, and timely manner, while managing multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced and often-changing environment
- High level of attention to detail and meticulous follow-through, coupled with the flexibility to shift requirements and expectations due to ever-changing needs of the business
- A collaborative approach to work; builds strong partnerships with business partners
- Self-motivated, self-starting, and creative thinker; shows resiliency in problem-solving
- Ability to follow appropriate protocols to work with protected vendor data and maintain confidentiality
- Openness to working alternate hours from time to time to accommodate time zone differences for Asia and Europe
- Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced, structured environment
