Job description

The Sr. Art Director will work with the Creative Director to develop and refine the creative vision for the A&F lifestyle brand. They will own the vision for our A&F e-commerce marketing content and guide the team responsible for its execution. This individual would be accountable for collaborating to create original branded content and ideas, along with fostering the organization and cross-functional partnership required to execute against the overall brand strategy.
What will you be doing?
- Work closely with the Creative Director on the conceptual development and execution of seasonal editorial and e-commerce photography for the A&F brand
- Evolve the brand handwriting for a new generation of consumers, building off existing brand foundation
- Build and present seasonal editorial direction and style guides, collaborating with broader creative team to ensure visuals and content are synergized, telling focused brand stories and fulfilling deliverables across all channels
- Manage all studio e-commerce photography, including shoot planning, on set management, casting, and final deliverable selects, partnering closely with studio photographers, stylists, and production teams.
- Lead and empower studio team through roadblocks and unexpected problems, challenging the team to seek creative design solutions that advance our brand and speak to the customer
- Understand current trends in social media, fashion, and culture - testing new ideas to further develop and advance the creative voice of the A&F brand
- Communicate and collaborate effectively within the A&F organization, clearly and effectively presenting ideas and projects to cross functional partners and all levels of leadership
- Help to implement a creative organization that supports a content-led marketing strategy

- Bachelor's degree in Design, Photography, Advertising or related field required
- Minimum of 7+ years of art direction experience in fashion retail or related industry
- Experience working in an iconic, branded environment for an international organization
- Experience working with layout for print and digital media with and directing, training and guiding other layout artists and copywriters
- A strong eye for quality and trend as it relates to the Abercrombie & Fitch brands
- Experience managing and collaborating with large cross-functional teams
