A role with Target Promotions Marketing means that you’ll be part of a team that leads Target’s Value communication strategy and brings holistic promotional and value stories to life for Target’s guests. The team has a broad range of responsibilities including planning & development, creative, execution and production. Promotions Marketing leverages a variety of print and digital media and is responsible for Target’s Weekly Ad, Digital Weekly Ad, Print Promotions, In-store Promotional Signing and Printing Services.
As a Sr Copy Editor Circular Creative, you’ll edit the Target Weekly Ad content, ensuring that copy, art and price market versioning meets the expectations of Target merchants, our creative partners and the Target guest. You’ll line edit Weekly Ad copy for both print and online to ensure it meets English grammar standards and is error free; and manage all content changes for the final Weekly Ad prepress proof that includes custom page versions for up to 15 ad markets and as many as 56 sub markets. You’ll develop an understanding of overlapping production timing and action, and collaborate with key partners to meet multiple internal and external prepress and printer deadlines. You’ll act as liaison and point of contact for communication with our production partners regarding all copy and art changes requested by merchants, sales promotion marketing and creative teams after the ad closing date; and you’ll work with cross-functional Weekly Ad partners in developing best practices for more efficient and effective execution processes. - Four-year college degree in English, Journalism or Advertising and/or equivalent experience
- Master command of English grammar and usage
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter with strong decision-making skills and ability to prioritize workload
- Reacts positively to challenges and change, and consistently responds with a can-do approach
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
