What This Position Is All About:

What's this position is all about:

The Human Resources Operations Senior Manager will lead an agile team and partner with the business and HR leaders to develop and execute HR operational strategies. Areas of focus will be: Workforce Planning, HRIS, Compliance, Process and Policy Build/Management, Associate Relations, driving overall administrative, and organizational effectiveness/workflow.

As the Sr. Manager of HR Operations, You Will be:

Responsibilities will include aspects of the Employee Life Cycle which includes, but is not limited to:

  • Implementing and executing the company's policies and procedures
  • Guiding and consulting the AskHR and HRIS team members
  • Overseeing HR databases and internal software
  • Resolving all employee-related issues and queries by working with the Associate Relations Team
  • Analyzing and monitoring HR performance metrics and KPIs
  • Suggesting new HR software based on the company's needs
Onboarding:

  • Assign and audit new hire paperwork for all management positions
  • Review compliant new hire paperwork for exempt and non-exempt positions
  • Follow-up with hiring managers to assure onboarding paperwork/process is handled in a timely and compliant manner
  • Create and maintain employment data management system
Associate Relations:

  • Build and maintain employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive work environment and promote a sense of equity and consistency
  • Offer guidance and assistance to team members in dealing with day-to-day employee relations' issues, providing accurate and consistent policy interpretation - Oversee the field based AR Specialists
  • In partnership with the talent management team, build scalable systems for employee recognition, promotions/transfers, departures
  • Partner with IT to ensure smooth and scalable onboarding and off-boarding of systems
  • Oversee exit interview process focused on continuous improvement and ensure reporting against learnings is actioned
  • Oversee roll-out and coordination of employee engagement surveys
  • Lead team of SG Investigators to conduct ER
Reporting/Analytics:

  • Analyze labor turnover and other critical data on a quarterly basis and identify opportunities by locations , districts, and regions
  • Generate and manage critical reporting
Compliance Management:

  • Develop and implements scalable policies and processes focused on improving the employee lifetime value
  • Maintains the employee handbook of policies and procedures
  • Send offer letter, relocation agreement, promotion letters or any official documentation pertaining to talent changes of the organization
  • Manage wage administration for all markets and annual review process
  • Manage Background Check Process
Administration:

  • Process employee change requests in HRIS & Payroll Systems: pay change, transfers, LOA, terminations
  • Oversee the Leave of Absence process: FMLA, NYPL, NY State Disability, New Jersey Paid Family Leave, NJ State Disability Leave, etc.
  • Oversee Workers Compensation for organization
  • Oversee COVID-19 vaccination tracking and COVID-19 case tracking
  • Run a weekly new hire report ensuring all exempt and non exempt employees who are benefits eligible are enrolled in benefits, which includes but is not limited to: medical, dental, vision, voluntary, 401(k), etc.
  • Entering applicable deductions for all benefits, ensuring 3rd party systems are accurate reflecting benefit elections
  • Assist with manual entries of paid time off, comp days, sick-time requests for non exempt and exempt employees
Who you are:

  • At least 3+ years as an HR Manager or similar role that includes employee relations, benefits administration and/or talent development
  • Retail/ Restaurant/hospitality specific HR experience strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of Workday and StoreForce strongly preferred
  • Advanced HR certification or training is a plus
  • Highly empathetic, employee focused, and able to to use discretion with sensitive information
  • Knowledge of multi-state employment laws to ensure compliance with all laws and practices
  • Advanced counseling skills and ability to manage conflict resolutions effectively
