Responsible for leading the Business Continuity team. The Business Continuity team is responsible for creating, maintaining and testing Business Continuity Plans across the enterprise. The team performs emergency notifications via the Emergency Management Notification tool and manages the satellite phone services. The Sr. Manager role provides the leadership required to create, maintain and test Business Continuity Plans. Serves as internal business consultant in the support of evolving the company's Business Continuity Program capabilities and services. Highly visible role with IT executives and directly interface with the business community.
Will have expertise around industry best practices in the various aspects of Business Continuity. Ability to implement solutions that reduce risk across key business units. Experience with both retail and IT processes is preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Lead managers and co-source partners, business analysts and project delivery resources to manage and maintain the Business Continuity Portfolio
- Guide both the Business Continuity Team and business unit resources through the processes for creating, refreshing and sustaining Business Continuity Plans. This includes innovating and iterating on program execution methodology to provide continuous improvement opportunities. Expected to evaluate and select those opportunities with on on-going focus to increase program maturity.
- Provide input for program management activities requiring budgeting and resourcing input across diverse teams
- Influence and set strategic direction for the Business Continuity Team to continuously improve existing processes. Work with business and IT owners to help define, develop and maintain and test Business Continuity Plans on an ongoing basis.
- Create, maintain and test Business Continuity Plans on an on-going basis.
- Ensure that projects are resourced, and effectively staffed to meet or exceed expectations of scope, schedule and budget
- Innovate and iterate on program execution methodology to provide continuous improvement opportunities on an on-going focus to increase program maturity
- Stay current with Business Continuity industry trends and best practices. Lead the adoption of those best practices within the Business Continuity Team.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Undergraduate degree in business, information systems or a related discipline or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of Business Continuity experience with progressive responsibility and influence
- Broad knowledge of business functions and processes
- Demonstrated experience in delivering solutions
- Experience managing team members with multiple levels of seniority / management
- Experience managing service providers, including offshore services
- Demonstrated experience in the development of solution programs / projects
- Demonstrated analytical ability, judgment and problem analysis techniques
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Able to effectively operate with VP and above executives.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across teams and business units
- Ability to work with teams that are geographically distributed
- Demonstrated ability to execute financial analysis, such as TCO models and ROI
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with emergency communications and crisis management response techniques
- Experience with project / program management tools and resources / demand management
- Experience with retail industry processes
- Working knowledge of IT functions and principles
- Some professional services / consulting experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:
- Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
- Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
- Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
- Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
- Some travel may be required
- This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work.
