Job description

Banana Republic's Marketing Effectiveness team is a global function that provides strategic and analytical support to Banana Republic Leadership focused on optimizing Marketing and Discount spend. Reporting to the Director of Company Planning, the Senior Manager will be responsible for analyzing current business trends, forecasting market channel optimization, performing ROI analysis on marketing activity, and providing event recaps to support Leadership Team's business decisions. Decision support extends to cross-functional partners across Marketing, Global Consumer Payments, Inventory Management, Merchandising, and Customer Engagement. The ideal candidate is customer obsessed, and skilled in forecasting, storytelling, and data analysis. Passion, autonomy, and strategic thinking are critical. What you'll do
- Strategic conception of the customer journey through promotional events; bringing the story to life by forecasting and influencing site, email, app, and discounting while optimizing for engagement and sales.
- Partner with Company Planning to land forecasts that maximize sales and margin while clearly communicating risks and opportunities to Executive Leadership Teams
- Partnering with cross functional teams (including Marketing, Inventory Management, Operations and Merchandising teams) to identify and implement process improvements.
- Regular reporting and recapping of promotional events, identifying areas of opportunity and sharing recommendations with leadership
- Partner with Global Consumer Payments Team to review and influence events to drive cardholder loyalty
- Partner with Customer Data Analytics Team to analyze KPI results and drive customer growth and retention
- Act as financial lead in pre-season and in-season commercial planning and channel investments
- Manage one direct report

Profile

- Bachelors Degree required, Business, Finance or related degree and/or MBA a plus
- Must have a minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience, understand cohort analysis & lifecycle marketing
- Digital Marketing forecasting or Retail planning experience preferred
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize financial analysis and business objectives into clear business recommendations
- Proven ability to build strong cross functional partnerships and influence others
- Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments with tight deadlines
- Creative self-starter who's passionate about retail. Willing to try fast, learn fast, and think big
- Ability to mentor, guide and develop team members
- Strong understanding of retail math & ROI concepts
- Advanced competency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and the ability to learn new applications quickly
- Microstrategy, Adobe Workspace, and ESSBASE experience a plus
