Job description

Job Overview:

The Senior, Pricing will lead and implement pricing strategies across multiple divisions. They will be responsible for projecting financial impact and maximizing business opportunities focusing on sales, margin and turnover. The Senior, Pricing will partner with the Omni Buying, Merchant Planning, Digital, and Marketing teams to execute promotional and permanent markdowns appropriate for their areas of business. Perform other duties as assigned.

The Senior, Pricing will interface with multiple DBMs and business leaders across each of the relevant functions for their assigned area of business. They will be responsible for the training and development of a team of associates and assistants. In addition to driving sales, they will focus on process improvement opportunities both for their own team as well as for the broader pricing team.

This position is based out of our NYC Corporate Office.

Essential Functions:

Key Activities:

  • Review and validate actual sales and gross markdowns against projections, adjusting markdown budget and developing strategies to drive sales (partner with Omni Buying & Merchant Planning teams).
  • Lead in depth weekly review of the business and partner with Omni Buying team to identify underperforming items or categories and recommended price action.
  • Participate in business strategy meetings with the Omni Buying Team and Site Merchandising to understand overall goals, budgets, strategies, marketing constraints and key operating parameters.
  • Determine optimal, progressive markdown strategies through the end of each product's life.
  • Ensure all markdown strategies are optimized for the execution needs of the website as well as stores.
  • Partner with Data Science to ensure the algorithm is tuned appropriately to the business so that the teams can rely on the recommendations that are presented to them.
  • Support the successful development, launch and rollout of the Unified Price Management Tool. (UPM) by partnering with product and tech, sharing feedback and suggestion and participating in all relevant meetings and touch points.
Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for managing Omni POS and permanent markdowns to drive sales and gross margin.
  • Partner with the DBM/Omni Buyer to develop strategies and execute markdowns appropriate for their scope of business.
  • Manage inventory currency.
  • Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality.

Profile

Qualifications and Competencies:
  • Bachelor's Degree required (Business, Finance, Marketing, or equivalent preferred).

  • 4+ years retail experience at executive level required.

  • Practice open and continuous communication, values keeping others informed, effectively presenting information in a clear, concise manner

  • Excellent leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels

  • Ability to think creatively, strategically and technically

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs

  • Knowledge of MS Office is required
