About the Role
As a Senior Product Manager on Gap Inc's Stores Product Management team, you will deliver new capabilities and products grounded in our proprietary POS system. This includes POS functionality such as sales, returns, online orders, pricing, tax and admin functions. Also, a Self-Checkout expression and experiences for our customer loyalty programs including our private label credit card. You will be a hands-on leader who thrives in defining and building solutions. The role requires strong product management competencies with thought leadership abilities to innovate, and deliver highly scalable, reliable and sustainable solutions across the enterprise.

What You'll Do
  • Lead multiple scrum teams to delivery features and capabilities for the POS

  • Write robust requirements, prioritize the backlog, and work closely with the engineering teams to deliver and test quality software

  • Partner with Consumer Insights team to test and validate design and approach for new features

  • Interface with all levels of management cross-functionally, implementing processes and technology that support business value and process efficiency/optimization across the business and technical functions

  • Ensure clear communication of project deliverables, timing, prioritization, budgets, resource needs, and progress on an ongoing basis

  • Drive business process changes necessary to simplify and optimize operations and adoption of products

  • Lead system solution evaluations and product due diligence

  • Own and drive opportunity assessments, definition development, monitoring and implementation of product roadmaps end to end

Profile

Who You Are
  • 4+ years of experience in product management related roles and activities

  • Results-oriented with a demonstrated sense of urgency to drive multiple projects to successful completion

  • Critical thinker who can anticipate roadblocks and proactively address issues before they impact business results

  • Measurement-focused; clear understanding and articulation of business value through qualitative and quantitative product metrics

  • Experience managing major product-to-market applications

  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations

  • Demonstrate technical acumen; ability to influence and debate solutions with technical team members, to understand technology solutions and potential tradeoffs and to represent technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders

  • Ability to assess relatively complex situations and analyze data to make judgments and recommend solutions

  • Excellent critical thinking, and problem-solving skills- a thought leader that can make strategic choices and help focus the organization on the most critical and value-add activities

  • Solid interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop and maintain effective business partner relationships

  • Experience in Retail or Customer-related industries preferred

  • Bachelor's degree preferred


This role is based out of the San Francisco office and requires you to be in the office on an occasional basis for critical in-person meetings and/or job duties that cannot be performed remotely.
