Opportunity Snapshot - Open to NY or NJ
H&M Group's Business Tech Organization is seeking a Sr. Manager, Strategic Tech Sourcing and Procurement with Global experience for our US hub. As Sr. Manager, Strategic Tech Sourcing and Procurement, you will be a part of our newly created Commercial Team and support the entire deal process with areas such as business case creation, deal preparation, deal execution, negotiations, and risk management. Additionally, you will provide support with contract management, commercial guidance, and management of partner relationships.
Using innovation and entrepreneurship in creating new commercial models and win-win deals is essential and value experience from various formats of business and partnership models such as joint venture, collaboration with startups, crowdsourcing etc.
This is a great opportunity to build and bring your creativity to support our Business Tech objectives. You are successful in deal-making, identifying business opportunities and business value, structuring deals, creating business models, and act as main negotiator from start to finish! We are specifically interested in hearing about your experience in different kind of partnership collaborations, due diligence, and innovative business deals. In addition, you are an expert in vendor and relationship management with global strategic partners.
Core Responsibilities includes but is not limited to:
Provide Global Commercial expertise and hands on support to Business Tech US Hub in defining and implementing commercial (including sourcing) and partner strategy
Work closely work with Hub leads/Product leads as well as the Commercial function leaders in Sweden to define business case and establish commercial models to meet business objectives
Manage partner and vendor relationships through potential deal designs/deal making processes required such as RFP, tendering crafting, time planning etc. to meet deal objectives.
Negotiate with external partners to secure advantageous terms and manage contract lifecycles such as extension, renegotiation, termination, and call-offs in collaboration with product stakeholders, partners, and vendors
Review business cases, identify and executes deals that achieve business objectives and identifies ways to optimize ongoing relationships with external partners and assist in identifying potential new partners and collaborations relevant for the Hub through market analysis
Challenge existing commercial models and suggest new commercial/contractual strategies
The Requirements
Bachelor's degree (Finance or Legal preferred) with 5+ years of Global Commercial deal-desk experience
Commercial deal-design expertise and working experience of procurement processes
Strategic in developing new ways of collaboration, partnerships, and business models, self-starter, and a doer with an entrepreneurial mindset and "everything is possible" approach
Management of vendors and partners, both individually and as a portfolio
Deal-making, including procurement, sourcing, negotiation, and experience in a variety of deal structures; contract management (drafting, negotiating, onboarding)
Strong international deal making experience
Accountability to deliver high customer and business value and believes in a non-hierarchical culture of collaboration, transparency, safety, and trust
Excellent negotiation and conflict-resolution skills
Solid communication skills and proactive questioner
Results-oriented, concrete, pragmatic, efficient
