JOB MISSION: The Team Sports Strategic Account Manager is responsible for delivering best in class service, build strong relationships and execution between all functions at New Balance and college partners. The job requirements entail multiple aspects of selling, marketing, promotion, product testing, event planning, leadership meetings, clear communications and outstanding execution. Overall, the most important function will be to be able to build strong relationships internally and with the asset to ensure mutual success for all.MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Identify, present, order and deliver millions of dollars of custom and stock products needs for the colleges across 30+ sports on time and complete
- Identify and execute additional sales opportunities to drive incremental revenue and exposure of the brand throughout and around the college
- Identify and execute all agreed upon marketing assets to include but not limited to signage, promotions, advertising and public relations
- Develop and execute a program to allow interaction between NB product teams and college for product creation, wear testing and feedback that is turnkey and best in class for all parties
- Identify, present and execute opportunities with the college for use of NB facilities (NB Track, Warrior Ice arena) for their programs and events to drive exposure of the facilities and teams
- Ability to track and document all deliverables in the agreements in terms of product, marketing assets and rebates for presentation to both NB and the asset on a quarterly basis
- Create "Playbook" and Calendar around key energy moments / sports/ events to ensure full capitalization of the opportunity and to meet contractual commitments
- Ability to provide quarterly updates internally to all key stakeholders on wins, challenges and opportunities
- Ability to identify, hire and train interns from the colleges for roles at NB
- The ability to say NO to the many asks from the college or from internal partners to ensure mutual success
