Every successful team at Nike needs a forward-thinking game plan. The Jordan Brand Strategy team shapes and drives the brand's growth agenda by leading the business planning processes, aligning enterprise leadership to make our biggest opportunities a reality, and spearheading transformational projects across Jordan's diverse businesses and geographies.
We are looking for a Jordan Brand Strategic Planning Manager to work with senior leadership to develop and execute our global long-term strategy, identify and evaluate critical strategic priorities, and catalyze action against these priorities.
What you will work on:
All strategists across Nike, Inc., drive work in three key areas:
- Write the Future: Drive critical thinking and action - in partnership with cross-functional partners - around the Jordan Brand's biggest opportunities.
- Chief of Staff: Operate as a thought partner to senior leadership and ensure effective operation/accountability across the Jordan Brand organization.
- Quarterback the Offense: Lead the team through key organizational processes, including Quarterly Business Reporting and Jordan Advisory Board meetings.
As a Jordan Brand Strategy Manager, you will partner with the rest of the Jordan Strategy team to drive Jordan's long-term growth strategy. You will work closely with our senior leadership and cross-functional partners to lead projects focused on identifying and evaluating critical priorities and/or strategic problems for the Brand. Your work will lead to crucial action - and you will play a role in seeing "the play" through. You'll provide research and analytical support to identify and evaluate business opportunities. You will be our trusted thought partner to and support the Jordan Leadership Team!
Who you will work with:
The Jordan Brand Strategy Manager will report to the Director of Strategy for the Jordan Brand. The position will work closely with:
- The Jordan Brand Leadership team, including its President, CFO, and the General Managers of Men's, Women's, and Kids
- Jordan Brand teams within each geography - North America (NA), Greater China (GC), Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA), and Asia Pacific and Latin America (APLA)
- Key functional partners (e.g., Design, Product, Brand, Marketplace, Finance)
- Other members of the Nike, Inc., Strategy community


What you bring:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of corporate strategy, strategy consulting, business development, corporate development, investment banking, or related experience (or 4+ years total experience with an MBA/Master's degrees; or 7+ years total experience in lieu of a degree)
- Demonstrated problem structuring and strategic problem-solving skills with experience leading multiple simultaneous projects
- Ability to navigate and thrive in ambiguity and influence across a cross-functional, matrixed environment
- Experience conducting and/or analyzing research related to consumers, industries, and competitors
- Comfort leading multiple projects at once and operating with a high degree of ambiguity,
- Proven experience with presenting and influencing senior leadership, maximizing excellent written and oral communication skills
- Superior interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Ability to complete quantitative and qualitative analysis and financial models
- Proficient in Keynote/PowerPoint, and Microsoft Suite
- Genuine understanding of why the Jordan Brand matters
Preferred requirements
- Apparel/footwear, retail, merchandising, digital/ecommerce and/or experience in consumer facing industries and demonstrated understanding of the competitive landscape / retail marketplace.
