Job description

Principal Objective
Drive retail sales in Macys Herald Square through counter coaching, artistry training and event participation.
Accountabilities
- Collaborate with Sales Counter Manager and work closely with the Business Manager to identify Education & Training needs of the overall business
- Determine and address the needs of individual Beauty Advisors in concert with the overall business objectives
- Work with the Field Executive and Sale Executives to implement training techniques and to deliver product updates
- Work in conjunction with Sales/Operations Managers to track Educational objectives-ELX, Activation Rallies, GWP Educational Planning, Seasonal Schools and Trainings
- This position will be evaluated on monthly achievement to sales plan.
- Support artistry, selling and clientele skills of Beauty Advisors through hands on demonstration and follow up
- Enhance Macy*s "My Client" by coaching Beauty Advisors on proper Clientele procedures to increase client base and build relationships with customers
- Help to support counter trainings as needed, including individualized coaching, in-store workshops, checks as well as specialized retailer programs and duties
- Ensure that each Beauty Advisor properly utilizes sales building tools such as Makeup Lessons, Appointment books, Macy*s Magic selling, outreach programs and special events
- Provide assistance in the preparation of makeup caddies and supplies for events and assist with event set-up
- Monitor and reinforce image guidelines and dress code
- Maintain merchandising guidelines and counter cleanliness
Qualifications
- Qualifications
- 2+ years relevant work experience, including 1+ years' experience as a Beauty Advisor or Counter Manager
- Education or training experience is preferred
- A
proven track record of booking events, achieving retail sales plans, and demonstrating outstanding customer service skills
- Flexible & dependable with a willingness and ability to enthusiastically step into whatever role is needed for the benefit of the team/counter and to work varying schedules including nights and weekends
- Have ability to foster a quality work environment through leadership by example, ongoing Associate recognition, timely resolution of Associate conflict and motivational tactics to drive sales and client development
- Demonstrate ability to build relationships with and influence others, including customers, Beauty Advisors, vendors and managers through effective and constant communication
- Enjoy meeting and interacting with customers; Demonstrate an enthusiastic and positive attitude
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities and quickly learn new procedures
- Teamwork oriented with the ability to lead a learning environment
- Excellent management and organizational skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong vendor partnerships in order to maximize business results
- Ability to develop and coach others and bring out their best
- Experience in Social Selling (VSS)
- Social Media savvy
