Job description

Neiman Marcus Group Services is looking for an experienced
Vice President to oversee our Program Management team. You will be part of a team that reports up
through the Chief Transformation Officer.
This role is an "activist" PMO role and requires a high level of collaboration,
detailed process planning and communication. A complex expense reduction
background with a multi-channel retailer would be an added bonus.
- Act as steward of the big picture vision of how our
strategic initiatives come together to build key capabilities and drive
value creation over time
- Advise the executive team on the progress towards
the vision, highlighting risks to value creation and anticipating
opportunities to work differently/ smarter to achieve objectives
efficiently (strategic/ activist PMO)
- Hold the organization and initiative teams
accountable for progress on value creation and key KPIs
- Work closely with initiative teams to advise/ help
them on initiative decision making- raising right issues, identifying
right choices/ alternatives, develop the case for incremental investment,
successfully diagnose and address issue that could limit value creation
- Provide officer-level oversight of the change
enablement team on how to distort resources/ prioritize focus, how to
engage the organization and initiative teams and continue to take our
change capability to the next level
- Lead governance for the company's Ignite to Win Growth,
Smart Retail and IT Steering Committees
- Facilitate (vs. coordinate) groups to achieve expected successful
outcomes
- Actively/consistently challenges content and work product,
not satisfied with the status quo
- High comfort level with intervening and redirecting
activities where necessary
- Comfortable with the authority to make decisions that
support the initiative effort
- Create a transparent view of current performance
- Monitors/resolves dependencies
- Provide forward looking view on individual initiatives
including upcoming potential issuesQualifications:
- History of leading large, complex transformational
initiatives
- Collaborative way of working, commitment to
listening for understanding and service mindset
- Strong attention to detail and comfort sweating the
details but ability to pull up from the details to look at the big picture
regularly
- Preferred history of expense reduction leadership in complex
organization
- 10 years+ experience with 3 years + of strategy
consulting experience, including experience in a strategic or activist PMO
- MBA preferred
