Job description

-Develop an active pipeline and execute project plans for acquisitions of target companies or divestiture of current operations, including diligence and business plan activities. This includes the identification, screening, evaluation, prioritization and relationship building of specific target companies within the scope of strategic growth objectives
-Develop and cultivate an effective network of industry and investment banking senior executives.
-Cultivate relationships with target founders and owners to gain trust and confidence as part of, and ahead of, the acquisition process
-Partner in the evolution and management of a repeatable, sustainable M&A process to most effectively identify, screen, evaluate, prioritize and engage with target companies.
-Increase the company's ability to identify opportunities at an early stage and ahead of competitive interests
-Lead due diligence including the coordination of internal financial, legal and functional teams as well as outside advisors
-Collaborate with the strategy team, brand leaders and regional leaders to identify and evaluate growth and white space opportunities.
-Collect market and competitive intelligence through new business development activities
-Support the development of comprehensive integration plans; and conduct on-going monitoring of post-acquisition integration progress and performance

Profile

-Undergraduate degree required. MBA highly preferred
-Position requires 12+ years of experience in strategy, NBD/M&A
-Experience in a multi-national (multi-currency) organization is required
-Blend of investment/advisory and corporate side experience is ideal
-Experienced with various phases of the M&A process including identification, screening, evaluation, prioritization and relationship building of specific target companies; business case development, due diligence and negotiations
-Ability to quickly build relationships with key brands, founders, industry associations, bankers, analysts and investors
-Has managed multiple, complex internal relationships with diverse brand, channel and geographic groups
-International experience is preferred
-Has managed a small but highly effective team
-Organizational savvy to operate in a global, multi-brand, multi-channel matrix
-Possesses a key eye for talent; genuinely invested in people and talent development
