POSITION SUMMARY:

The Wholesale Marketing Manager will manage all wholesale marketing activities across the region in an effort to grow our business and promote the Paul Smith brand. This role will have influential ownership and leadership of our North American wholesale marketing function.

Leveraging Brand Marketing strategies and assets to develop executable plans and support sales growth, while balancing and advocating Brand priorities. This entrepreneurial and motivated individual will collaborate internally and externally to proactively drive sales by door optimization of brand positioning, sales team engagement, events and marketing. This position is based in NY and will have a dual reporting line to both the Head of Marketing & Digital, and President, North America.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB:

  • Establish strong relationships with and act as day-to-day marketing lead for key internal and external partners. Serve as the Marketing Contact for all NA retailers including but not limited to Bloomingdale's, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Saks, SSENSE and Holt Renfrew
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the Wholesale, Visual Merchandising, Global Marketing, Finance teams and other partners as needed
  • Lead efforts to drive, align, and execute all key Brand initiatives across in-store and digital wholesale channels. Ensuring consistency across in-store and digital channels when planning seasonal strategies, assets, POS, and activations
  • Establish go to market strategies, and present these to accounts driving sell in and maximize key product and brand initiatives in partnership with the Sales Director, NA
  • Provide oversight for project briefs ensuring directives are created, tools are developed, and the brand voice is clearly communicated and cohesive
  • Lead special activations and promotional strategies, such as store openings, brand activations, and GWPs
  • Track results across all projects and initiatives to be able to share with team members and Leadership, measure marketing program effectiveness via regular monitoring of KPI's
  • Develop engagement strategies in wholesale accounts to bring Paul Smith to life for the consumer. Strategically provide recommendations for marketing requests and updates, driving productivity
  • Manage wholesale assets, and in-store visuals needs for key accounts and initiatives in partnership with the Art and Sales teams
  • Maintain Co-Op + Event Budgets for each retailer
  • Actively participate in business meetings to interpret, translate, and communicate wholesale marketing strategic and creative direction
  • Proactively stay on top of marketing, digital, and analytical trends, and understand best practices to help inform future strategy
  • This role will have one direct report, US Marketing Coordinator
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 5-7 years experience in Retail, Wholesale and/or Brand Marketing, with a focus on retail/store marketing
  • 4-year degree, preferably in the marketing or communications field
  • Retail and/or wholesale experience in a multi-category brand is a plus
  • Previous experience managing, a plus
  • A positive attitude and proven experience collaboratively with internal and external team members to achieve deliverables
  • Ability to think strategically and implement tactically
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills, excellent presentation skills, and positive demeanor
  • Market awareness and strong passion for the fashion industry and trends
  • Emulate the brand aesthetic and embody and strong sense of fashion
  • Quantitative and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage and develop relationships across groups and functionals at all levels of the organization
