We have an exciting opportunity at our brand new state of the art facility opening soon! Conveniently located 5-10 minutes from Texas Motor Speedway in the Alliance Business Park on I-35W. We are currently searching for a WMS Warehouse Supervisor to join our growing team.
The WMS Manager will be supporting all aspects of the warehouse Management System (WMS) to help drive system stability and operational efficiencies. This position partners closely with the operational leadership team throughout the implementation of Manhattan Associates WMOS.
Assists with the configuration and testing of the WMS to meet business processes for the facility, and train operational staff in proper usage of the WMS. Provides support to the operational groups ensuring effective usage of the WMS to enable daily processing, identify improvement opportunities, and record operational metrics.
This role is responsible for various operational and financial aspects of the distribution center including budget performance, work schedule planning, managing and partnering with the Inventory Control leader and team. Ensures the accuracy, timeliness, cost effectiveness and regulatory compliance in all Inventory Control activities. Ensures the integrity of all warehouse inventories with compliance to all receiving related ICC rules and policies.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to installing, maintaining and supporting the facilities WMS and automation systems. Provide general maintenance and system updates on network hardware and software, analyze problems, and monitor networks to ensure their availability to users. Maintains system efficiency. Will ensure the distribution centers' computer system allows all the components, including computers, the network, and software, to work properly together.
Responsible for the efficient transmission of information and the storage and analysis of information by means of computer networks and systems, the Internet, and computer databases. May gather data to determine system and network requirements. Will test and coordinate modifications to the system when needed, and troubleshoot problems when they occur.
Assists with the configuration and testing of the WMS to meet business processes for the facility, and trains associates in proper usage of the WMS. Provides support to the operational groups ensuring effective usage of the WMS to enable daily processing, identify improvement opportunities, and record operational metrics.
Assist with all Employee Relation concerns including; scheduling employee work hours, monitoring breaks, tardies and absences, approve time clock records, reports and absence reports, filling open positions, training and development of employees, evaluating employees, carrying out disciplinary actions (to include recommending discharge).
Conduct and participate in regular meetings and communication within department, with other departments and shifts, and with other related departments outside of the facility in order to promote a positive team environment focused on satisfying the needs of the customer and protecting the interest of the company.
Provides a safe, clean, healthy and secure work environment for employees by assisting the Director of Distribution/Warehouse Manager in and enforcing company safety, ergonomic, loss prevention and other related programs.
Assisting with maintaining efficient cost control by operating within the operational budget set for their department by efficient use of labor and wage cost, supplies, maintenance and other related tasks. Suggesting refinements to improve operational efficiency.

Profile

- Bachelor's degree preferred and/or 3 years' experience in general warehousing and distribution.
- 2 years or more of experience with Manhattan WMoS (2010 or later)
- More than 1 year experience in MA WMoS Configuration, including the understanding of System Codes, Inventory Need Types (INTs), Work Areas, Work Group, and end user setup on MA WMoS
- More than 1 year Supervisor or above role in a Distribution Center
- Experience using Labor Management, Slotting, or Wave Planning in a Distribution Center using Manhattan software
- Experience Testing / QA a WMS
- Familiar with modern Distribution Center technologies, such as DC Automation, Voice Picking, Mobile Devices (RF), and paperless task management
